El entrenador
vasco dice adiós a la afición mediante un emotivo texto.
Unai Emery ha
dejado de ser este viernes el entrenador del Arsenal, después de que el club de
Londres anunciara sobre el mediodía el despido del técnico vasco. El ex del
Sevilla, horas más tarde, quiso agradecer a la afición Gunner por todo el apoyo
recibido a lo largo del año y medio al frente del equipo.

"Ha sido un
honor ser el entrenador del Arsenal.
A todos los
fanáticos, quiero agradecerles a todos desde el fondo de mi corazón por
ayudarme a comprender y sentir la grandeza del Arsenal. A todos los que nos han
apoyado desde todos los rincones del mundo, a todos los que han venido al
Emirates, a todos los que han esperado bajo la lluvia y el frío solo para
saludarme después de un partido. Quiero decirles a todos que he trabajado con
pasión, compromiso y esfuerzo.
Nada me hubiera
gustado más que haber logrado mejores resultados para ustedes.
También quiero
enviar un mensaje de agradecimiento a todos los empleados del Arsenal por la
forma en que me han tratado. La grandeza de Arsenal está en cada director,
ejecutivo, empleado, asistente y voluntario.
En particular,
quiero destacar a Ivan Gazidis, quien me recibió en el club, y a Raul Sanllehi,
Edu y Vinai Venkatesham por su respeto, compañía y ayuda. Hasta el último
minuto he sido tratado con honor y honestidad. Y, por supuesto, le envío mi
sincero agradecimiento a la familia Kroenke, por su confianza.
Ha pasado un año
y medio lleno de emociones, de grandes momentos y otros momentos más amargos,
pero no ha pasado un solo día sin que me haya detenido a pensar en la suerte
que he tenido de trabajar para este club con estos jugadores y Sus cualidades
profesionales y personales.

La presión había
aumentado para el expreparador del Sevilla en el banquillo de Londres,
especialmente después de que su equipo pasara cinco partidos sin conseguir una
victoria en la Premier League, quedándose a ocho puntos del cuarto lugar en la
liga inglesa.
El sábado pasado,
hubo cánticos contra Emery por parte de la afición del Arsenal , que pidió la
salida del entrenador español durante el partido que los Gunners jugaron en casa
ante el Southampton (2-2). De hecho, hubo una enorme pitada al finalizar el
encuentro, a pesar de que Alexandre Lacazette rescató un punto con un gol en el
añadido.
Pese al pinchazo
en la Premier League del sábado pasado, Emery continuó en su cargo en el
