año seguido, el segundo certamen en importancia del continente anticipó al
ganador de la principal competencia en la siguiente temporada.
Creer o reventar.
Lo que parece una simple coincidencia, empieza a convertirse en una regla
después de siete años en el fútbol sudamericano, que emparenta a las dos
principales competencias de clubes y en la que el campeón de una anticipa al
país del que proviene el ganador de la otra en la temporada siguiente.
Este sábado,
Flamengo se consagró campeón de la Copa Libertadores en Lima, al vencer a
River. Y de acuerdo a esta lógica, su victoria estaba cantada ya que en la Copa
Sudamericana 2018 el campeón había sido Athlético Paranaense, que había vencido
a Junior de Barranquilla.
Pero no fue un
hecho aislado, porque la seguidilla arrancó cuando Sao Paulo ganó la
Sudamericana 2012, mientras que Atlético Mineiro ganó la Libertadores 2013.
Luego se sucedieron Lanús en el 2013 y San Lorenzo en el 2014, River tanto en el
2014 como en el 2015, Independiente Santa Fe en el 2015 y Atlético Nacional en
el 2016, Chapecoense en el 2016 y Gremio en el 2017, mientras que Independiente
celebró en 2017 y el Millonario en el 2018.
Si esto se repite
una vez más, la Copa Libertadores quedará en Ecuador, ya que Independiente del
Valle derrotó a Colón en la Sudamericana 2019. El propio club Negriazul es uno
de los clasificados, junto a Macará y Barcelona de Guayaquil, mientras que
quedan dos lugares vacantes para intentar emular lo hecho únicamente por Liga
de Quito en el 2008.
