Cinco minutos
tardó en despertar al pueblo de Tel-Aviv que había colmado el estadio
Bloomfield sólo para verlo a él. Lo hizo simplemente con un pase de taco, de
primera. Ese lujo puso de pie y le arrancó los primeros aplausos a los cerca de
30 mil israelíes que acudieron a la cita para ver el amistoso entre Argentina y
Uruguay. En realidad, habían ido a ver a Messi.
Volvió a aparecer
antes de los 15', con un remate que se fue al córner pero que provocó la
primera gran ovación de la gente. Se escuchó fuerte el ya habitual "Messi,
Messi" que suena en el Camp Nou fin de semana por medio, ese que la
multitud acompaña con sus dos brazos a modo de reverencia. Se repitió la
secuencia pocos minutos después, cuando dejó en el camino a un par de uruguayos
con más guapeza que gambeta.
Y es que Israel
tenía ganas de Messi. Argentina debió haber jugado en Jerusalén en junio del
año pasado, cuando el entonces equipo de Jorge Sampaoli iba a enfrentar al
seleccionado local en un amistoso camino del Mundial de Rusia. Sin embargo, la
fiesta se suspendió por cuestiones de seguridad. Después de las amenazas y
advertencias lanzadas por grupos propalestinos contra el conjunto albiceleste y
contra el propio Messi, el amistoso se canceló. 17 meses después, y para
compensar tanta espera, el 'Mesías' tenía ganas de ser profeta en Tierra Santa.
Muchas ganas,
repentizaciones, algún lujo y una falta lejana. Poco más hubo del '10' durante
una primera parte en la que los números -y las sensaciones- confirmaron la
sospecha de siempre: el delantero rosarino es medio equipo. Tres de los seis
remates de Argentina salieron de los pies del barcelonista (uno a puerta), que
buscó a Rodrigo De Paul tanto como a ningún otro compañero (le dio hasta seis
pases en los primeros 45 minutos). Por el contrario, combinó poco con Dybala y
con Agüero (dos pases a cada uno), los que completaban el tridente ofensivo.
Junto a De Paul y Paredes, Messi lideró con 8 el rubro de pérdidas de balón,
delito perdonable para cualquiera que intente cosas diferentes.
Empezó la segunda
parte llevando peligro con una nueva falta, pero otra vez respondió Campaña.
Pasaba el partido y la escena era casi siempre la misma: Messi encara en
velocidad y un compañero suyo no puede terminar la jugada. El fastidio se hacía
evidente con alguna falta no sancionada por el árbitro, pero desaparecía con el
empate argentino. Un empate nacido, obviamente, en la zurda del '10': centro
preciso de Messi y cabezazo de Agüero. Puño derecho en alto y de vuelta a
empezar.
Enseguida tuvo
Messi el 2-1 con un remate de lejos que se fue muy cerca, pero Uruguay volvería
a adelantarse. Luis Suárez le dio a Leo de su propia medicina y, de falta, hizo
el 1-2 para la Celeste.
En el 91', Messi
tendría la última palabra con un penalti lanzado igual que contra Brasil.
Campaña fue para el otro lado y el Bloomfield de Tel-Aviv encontró lo que había
ido a buscar.
