El Sounders de
Seatte conquistó este domingo el título de la MLS al derrotar en casa por 3-1
al Toronto con un gol y una asistencia del peruano Raúl Ruidíaz, que sirvió
para que Víctor Rodríguez, surgido en la cantera del Barça, marcara apenas 15
minutos después de haber entrado en la cancha.
El Sounders,
campeón de la temporada de 2016, se puso en ventaja en el minuto 57 con un
remate del lateral Kelvin Leerdam a pase de Ruidíaz cuya trayectoria fue
alterada por la intervención de un defensa del Toronto.
Víctor Rodríguez
aumentó la cuenta a los 76 minutos en una acción conducida por el uruguayo
'Nico' Lodeiro.
Al filo de los 90
minutos 'la Pulga' Ruidíaz puso la puntilla en un contragolpe que resolvió con
una vaselina sobre el portero. Así firmó su decimoquinto gol en la temporada.
Tres minutos
después, ya en tiempo de descuento el delantero Jozy Altidore descontó con un
cabezazo tras recibir un centro del creativo español Alejandro Pozuelo,
derrotado en esta final.
Los Sounders,
flamantes campeones de la Conferencia Oeste, sumaron hoy su segundo título de
la MLS Cup en tres finales jugadas, precisamente contra el Toronto, campeón de
la Conferencia Este.
