El entrenador
del equipo tricolor entregó la lista de 23 convocados en la que vuelve a
aparecer el volante del club español.
En Real Madrid no
lo tienen en cuenta, pero en la selección de Colombia sí. Este miércoles,
cuando Carlos Queiroz dio a conocer los 23 convocados para los amistosos frente
a Perú y Ecuador, el 14 y 19 de noviembre, llamó la atención la presencia de
James Rodríguez , pues se ha dicho que todavía tiene problemas físicos.
“Lo que
pasa en el Madrid es problema de ellos, nosotros tenemos que preocuparnos por
lo que hacemos acá”, dijo de manera enfática el estratega luso, que no quiso
profundizar en el llamado del volante 10.
En cuanto a las
novedades, resalta mucho la presencia de
Stiven Mendoza y Steven Alzate, quienes estarán por primera vez con la
tricolor. “Uno quisiera llamar a muchos jugadores, pero no hay espacio.Y eso no
quiere decir que no los sigamos. Esta vez ellos tiene la oportunidad y vamos a
ver cómo lo hacen”.
Igualmente,
aunque no quiso dar detalles, Queiroz dejó la puerta abierta a un par de
microciclos con jugadores del torneo local antes de comenzar la participación
tanto en la Copa América 2020 como en las eliminatorias a Qatar 2020. “Es algo
que se ha venido hablando con la Federación y veremos qué se puede hacer”.
Por último, el
luso hizo énfasis en que no siempre tiene el tiempo para trabajar con los
jugadores y que más allá de la táctica y la técnica lo que busca es que el
grupo esté unido, que los futbolistas entiendan lo que él quiere y que haya
unidad y responsabilidad con los objetivos comunes. “Todos defendemos, todos
atacamos. Esto es de actitud y ganas. La camiseta de la selección pesa”.
