Rummenigge explicó cómo fue la decisión que deja al equipo sin Kovac:
"El
desempeño de nuestro equipo en las últimas semanas y los resultados nos han
demostrado que era necesario actuar. Todos lamentamos este desarrollo. Me
gustaría agradecer a Niko Kovac en nombre del Bayern su trabajo, especialmente
por ganar el doblete la temporada pasada".

En el comunicado
emitido, el Bayern asegura que el entrenador asistente Hans Flick se hará cargo
del equipo de cara al partido de Champions League ante Olympiakos y frente a
Borussia Dortmund en el partidazo de la Bundesliga del próximo sábado.

agradecido
Niko Kovac por su
parte quiso despedirse de los aficionados muniqueses y agradecer al Bayern la oportunidad:
"Creo que
esta es la decisión correcta en este momento. Los resultados y también la forma
