Cecilia Pérez,
Ministra del Deporte en Chile, ratificó al país como sede de la final única del
certamen a pesar del conflicto social que se vive.
La realización de
la final de la Copa Libertadores 2019 entre River y Flamengo no está en duda
pese a la crisis social política que se vive en Chile. Y es que tanto la
Federación chilena, como la Conmebol, sostienen su idea de disputar el
encuentro del próximo sábado 23 de noviembre como estaba estipulado.
Hace unos días el
secretario adjunto del organismo sudamericano, Gonzalo Belloso, admitió a El
Mercurio que habría una reunión para analizar la conveniencia de mantener el
duelo en el Estadio Nacional, sede de la primera final única del torneo
continental.
"Es muy
inquietante lo que pasa, por lo que analizaremos la situación", afirmó
Belloso, que agregó sobre un cambio de lugar que "en la reunión de mañana
lo veremos".
En el mismo
medio, el presidente de la ANFP, Sebastián Moreno, aseguró: "Hasta el
momento no hemos recibido ninguna información en contrario de que la final se
realice en el Estadio Nacional... debemos ver cómo aseguramos la realización de
este espectáculo".
Sin embargo,
horas más tarde, el ente rector publicó un comunicado reafirmando su compromiso
de disputar la Final Única "en la fecha, lugar y hora acordados
inicialmente".
"CONMEBOL,
se encuentra en permanente contacto con las autoridades y todos los entes
relacionados con la realización del espectáculo de la final única en Santiago
de Chile", inicia el comunicado de la entidad.
Eso sí, avisaron
que "el análisis se continuará realizando y se tomará en cuenta la
seguridad de los clubes, jugadores, hinchadas y medios de comunicación
acreditados, para que el único protagonista sea el fútbol sudamericano,
encuentro en el que se coronará al nuevo campeón continental",
completaron.

Y este martes, el
mismo Moreno se refirió a la situación afirmando frente a los medios que
“Conmebol está permanentemente informada de la situación que está pasando en
Chile. Hay contingente de Conmebol en Santiago, hay reportes de distintas
autoridades desde acá", dijo en primer término.
"El
presidente (Alejandro) Dominguez ha ratificado la disposición para que se
juegue en Santiago de Chile el próximo 23 de noviembre. Ciertamente es
importante que se juegue este partido, pero también hay que estar pendientes de
la realidad nacional", agregó, para luego sentenciar: "Hay un
compromiso entregado por el presidente de Conmebol de que se juegue en Chile,
pero tenemos que ser realistas de los hechos que se están sucediendo en nuestra
sociedad. Todos esperamos la normalización de la situación, pero hay una
realidad nacional que es más importante que el fútbol".
Cabe recordar que
ya fueron suspendidos todos los encuentros del fútbol profesional chileno
durante el fin de semana, debido a las manifestaciones existentes a lo largo
del país.
"Le he
ratificado en nombre del Presidente Sebastián Piñera al presidente de Conmebol
nuestra firme voluntad y compromiso realizar la final de Copa
Libertadores", dijo, por su parte, la Ministra del Deporte, Cecilia Pérez.
“El presidente Domínguez me señaló el
cariño y respeto que le tiene a nuestro país, y su convicción de que Chile es
el mejor lugar para realizar finalmente la final de la Copa Libertadores”.
