Cristiano Ronaldo ha cerrado definitivamente su vínculo con España. El jugador portugués firmará en breve plazo un pacto de conformidad con Hacienda. Liquidará su deuda con la Agencia Tributaria tras reconocer que defraudó 14.768.897 millones de euros, asumir 18,8 millones de multa y aceptar la responsabilidad penal que le exige la Fiscalía de Delitos Económicos, que le acarreará dos años de prisión que conmutará por una multa que no le librará de los antecedentes penales que tendrá en nuestro país aunque sí de entrar en prisión al ser la pena solicitada inferior a los 24 meses.
La presencia de Cristiano Ronaldo en la firma del acuerdo ante la Fiscalía de Delitos Económicos no es preceptiva, ya que su representante legal, el exmagistrado José Antonio Choclán, tiene poderes para cerrar el pacto en su nombre. Choclán ha intentado cerrar el caso antes de la firma de Cristiano Ronaldo por la Juventus, pero la rúbrica se ha ido retrasando por distintos problemas burocráticos. Ahora, con el visto bueno de la ministra de Hacienda, María Jesús Montero, el final del caso está muy próximo.
José Antonio Choclán y Edmundo Bal, abogado del Estado en representación de Hacienda, han cerrado definitivamente el acuerdo después de meses de negociación en los que la Agencia Tributaria rechazó en dos ocasiones, por insuficientes, las ofertas de Cristiano. Este asunto ha sido "uno de los detonantes principales de su marcha del Real Madrid", según afirman fuentes próximas al caso y tal y como el propio jugador reconoció el pasado 31 de julio, hace un año, cuando manifestó ante Mónica Gómez Ferrer, magistrada del Juzgado Número 1 de Pozuelo que ha llevado su caso, que su deseo era "volver a Inglaterra".
Al final, Cristiano no regresará a Inglaterra, sino que se marchará a la Juventus, a Italia, país con una fiscalidad mucho más laxa con los futbolistas. Una reciente ley del fisco italiano permite a los jugadores extranjeros del Calcio tributar con una tarifa plana de cien mil euros por todas las rentas generadas para el extranjero, incluidos los contratos de patrocinio, una de los motivos por los que fue inspeccionado y sancionado por la Agencia Tributaria de España. Ahora bien, entre ambos países, España e Italia, hay un convenio según el que, si Cristiano deja pendientes o le sobrevienen aquí nuevas reclamaciones fiscales, le podrían embargar el salario y la ficha de la Juve para cubrir esa deuda. No hubiera sido así, por ejemplo, si se hubiera marchado a China o a cualquier otro país con el que España no tenga convenios tributarios.
