El técnico portugués hizo su balance luego de la derrota "dura y difícil" de Colombia ante el campeón africano.
Carlos Queiroz no fue ajeno al dolor e incertidumbre que dejó en Colombia la caída ante Argelia, en un amistoso que representó un baño de realidad tanto para el técnico, como para los jugadores y los hinchas cafeteros.
"Los dos primeros goles cambiaron mucho el dominio y el control. Entramos bien, estábamos dominando el partido y el primer gol fue duro para Colombia" inició el estratega en su análisis luego del compromiso. Según Queiroz, "Mentalmente fue difícil para Colombia remontar los goles" siendo esa la clave para el desequilibrio y posterior juego de su equipo. También reconoció que fue "el peor partido de la gira", asumió la responsabilidad "por algunas decisiones" y pidió "disculpar una derrota que es dura y difícil para nosotros".
Para el nacido en Mozambique, "Estábamos precisando jugar con un equipo como Argelia, con otro tipo de jugadores y de fútbol. Estos son los partidos que más enseñanzas nos dan para después hacer las cosas bien".
