"No quisimos arriesgar, el viernes me entrené más o menos, el sábado bien y le dije que estaba para jugar, y el sábado a la noche Gabriel tomó la decisión", completó el mediocampista.
Y otro punto clave en la charla fue su salida de Boca, cuando la intención era que permanezca en el club pero con otra función. Al respecto, aclaró que "tomé la decisión de salir de club junto al presidente Angelici, en buenos términos. Cuando se dio la posibilidad de volver, lo llamé y le dije que iba a volver a jugar al fútbol en Vélez, porque habíamos quedado que en junio íbamos a hablar a ver qué podíamos hacer, él estaba interesado en que siga en el club, surgió esta posibilidad y fui a jugar, no tenía que demostrarle nada a nadie".
"No pensaba volver a jugar a la pelota, pero mi hijo me lo pidió y algo me tocó. Llegó un momento en que tenía que demostrarle a ellos que no podía abandonar. Yo amo el fútbol", se sinceró.
