El Muñeco puso a todos los titulares y, además de festejar el triunfo de su River, celebró la vuelta de uno de sus goleadores.
Después de ganar 2-0 en la ida de semis del Superclásico, River salió a la cancha para recibir a Patronato con todos sus titulares (mismo equipo que ante Boca con Paulo Díaz en lugar de Pinola). Teniendo en cuenta que faltan 16 días para la vuelta en La Bombonera, y sabiendo que el Millonario ya sufrió varias lesiones en lo que va de la temporada, algunos se preguntaron si Marcelo Gallardo no podría haber resguardado a algunos de sus jugadores. Sin embargo el Muñeco no lo hizo y, con el diario del lunes, su victoria ante el conjunto de Paraná fue doble.
Y es que además de festejar los tres puntos de local en la Superliga para seguir prendido a la pelea entre los de arriba, el DT celebró algo fundamental que venía haciendo ruido en Núñez: goles de un delantero.
Porque si bien es cierto que Rafael Santos Borré pidió la pelota en el duelo copero ante Boca y ejecutó el penal que terminó en el 1-0 parcial en la ida de semifinales de la Copa, también es cierto que el colombiano no marcaba un tanto de jugada desde el 17 de agosto, en la goleada 6-1 ante Racing en Avellaneda. Nueve partidos y 59 minutos pasaron hasta que Rafa volvió a celebrar un gol de jugada, y lo hizo por dos.
Ojo, no fue un déficit sólo de Borré, sino de todos los delanteros que llegaron a acumular 639 minutos sin gritos para el Millonario que se la rebuscó con Nacho Fernández, Casco, Palacios, De La Cruz, Carrascal y un tanto en contra para sumar en los partidos en los que sus "encargados de hacer goles" (está claro que no es sólo responsabilidad de los delanteros), no lograron hacerlo.
Con el gol de Scocco ante Gimnasia la sequía llegó a su fin y con el doblete de Rafael Santos Borré Gallardo y River festejaron recuperar a un jugador que será clave en la vuelta. Respecto al resto de los goleadores, la sequía sigue aumentando: Matías Suárez ya suma 618 minutos sin festejar mientras que Pratto, que aún no pudo celebrar en el semestre, acumula 454 (el último festejo fue en la Recopa Sudamericana ante Athletico Paranaense).
