El Milan acentuó su mala semana. Tras caer derrotado ante el Inter en el derbi, los 'rossoneri' perdieron (2-1) ante el Torino y, en cinco jornadas de la Serie A, sólo ganaron dos partidos. En un choque en el que Pepe Reina vio la roja estando en el banquillo, un doblete de Belotti dejó al Milan en el puesto 13 de la Liga.
Con Suso de la partida y Theo Hernández debutando como titular en los visitantes y Berenguer saliendo en el segundo tiempo, el Milan pecó por ineficaz. Los 'rossoneri' fueron muy superiores en la primera hora de partido, tuvieron varias oportunidades para ampliar el 0-1, pero perdonaron y fueron condenados por Belotti.
El primer tiempo fue casi un monólogo 'rossonero'. El Milan tuvo fluidez en ataque y buena capacidad para presionar, siendo muy superior a un Torino desbordado. El buen nivel de los de Giampaolo tuvo su premio en el 18', cuando Rafael Leao ganó un penalti que Piatek convirtió en gol. El polaco no falló ninguna de las cuatro penas máximas que tiró en la Serie A.
Tras el 0-1, el equipo visitante tuvo varias oportunidades para poner tierra de por medio. Çalhanoglu o Rafael Leao han estado a punto de anotar el segundo en un equipo en el que Kessié mandaba en la medular y Suso aportaba creatividad. En la primera mitad, sólo muy cerca del descanso estuvo Belotti cerca del gol.
La segunda mitad empezó de manera semejante, puesto que Piatek, tras gran jugada de Romagnoli, falló el gol cuando estaba en excelente posición. Pero, con el Milan, todo cambia de manera inesperada. Y así sucedió.
En el 72', un Torino que no había generado demasiado peligro empató. Balón en largo hacia Belotti, que encaró a Musacchio y, con un tiro potente, superó a Donnarumma. El Milan protestó bastante una falta previa, y debido a sus protestas Pepe Reina, que estaba en el banquillo, vio la tarjeta roja.
Y como con el Milan la 'ley de Murphy' siempre se aplica, cuatro minutos Belotti completó la remontada. Tiro de Zaza que Donnarumma para y, tras fallar en un primer momento el disparo, 'Il gallo', de chilena, anotó el 2-1.
Hasta el final, Zaza desperdició el tercero, al igual que Sirigu, con una gran parada, evitó el empate de Piatek. Sea por ineficacia, desacierto o mala fortuna, el Milan no termina de arrancar.
