La Italia de Roberto Mancini sigue con su paso impecable rumbo a la Euro 2020. La 'Azzurra' ganó en Armenia (1-3) y se mantiene líder destacada del Grupo J con 15 puntos de 15 posibles.
Le tocó, eso sí, remontar. Karapetian adelantó a Armenia en el 11' e Italia le dio la vuelta al marcador gracias a los goles de Belotti (28' y 80') y Lorenzo Pellegrini (77'). Se benefició la 'Azzurra', eso sí, de la expulsión de Karapetian en el 45'.
Italia, sin Sensi en el once, vio cómo la Armenia de Mkhitaryan castigaba una pérdida de Barella a los 11'. Robó Barseghyan y Karapetian culminó la contra con un derechazo cruzado imparable para Donnarumma.
No se puso nerviosa la 'Azzurra' y se mantuvo fiel al estilo de posesión -llegó al descanso con 68%- que ha impuesto Mancini con el trío Barella-Verratti-Jorginho. Así fue como poco a poco comenzó a acorralar a Armenia. Hayrapetyan, de hecho, evitó con una gran parada que Chiesa empatara en el 23'.
La recompensa al dominio transalpino llegó en el 28'. Emerson ganó línea de fondo y Belotti, libre de marca, remató a placer en el segundo palo el 1-1. El larguero a tiro de Bernardeschi en el 29' y un clamoroso fallo de Belotti en el evitaron que Italia se marchara ganando al descanso. Sin embargo, la expulsión de Karapetian en el añadido facilitó la remontada en el segundo tiempo.
La entrada de Lorenzo Pellegrini en el 61' y de Sensi en el 69' también ayudó. El primero anotó el 1-2 en el 77' al cabecear un centro de Bonucci desde la derecha. El segundo inició la jugada del 1-3, que llegó tras un remate a la media vuelta de Belotti. El '9' del Torino contó, eso sí, con una buena dosis de fortuna. Su remate golpeó en el poste y en el meta Hayrapetyan antes de entrar.
A esta Italia, por ahora, no hay quien le pare. Su clasificación matemática para la Euro está cerca.
