El estadio Municipal, de la zona de Villa Ingenio, sería
bautizado con el nombre de Víctor Hugo Hurtado en honor al árbitro boliviano
que falleció el pasado domingo tras sufrir una muerte súbita producto de dos
infartos mientras dirigía el partido entre Always Ready y Oriente Petrolero en
el principal escenario deportivo de la ciudad.
El concejal Juanito Angulo presentó un proyecto de Ley en
el que se sugiere poner el nombre de Víctor Hugo Hurtado al escenario de Villa
Ingenio que desde su inauguración no cuenta con un nombre y solo se lo conoce
como Estadio Municipal.
La propuesta de Angulo fue bien recibida por la gente
ligada al fútbol y sería como un homenaje al árbitro que falleció a causa de un
infarto agudo de miocardio y un edema cerebral.
El concejal municipal también propuso que el estadio
alteño sea mejorado para el próximo torneo ya que en este semestre mostró sus
falencias, tanto en las vías de acceso como en la carencia de servicios básicos
en sus instalaciones.
El estadio alteño fue inaugurado en julio de 2017, pero
tuvo que pasar casi un año para que entre en completa actividad porque antes de
que Always Ready decidiera jugar ahí, el escenario solo era utilizado para
algunos actos menores y poco a poco quedaba en el abandono.
Hurtado murió el domingo pasado por muerte súbita a causa
de un infarto agudo de miocardio mientras dirigía el partido entre Always Ready
y Oriente Petrolero. El juez central dirigía normalmente hasta los tres minutos
de la segunda parte cuando se desplomó en la cancha ante la mirada de los
jugadores y público. El cuerpo médico de Always Ready logró reanimarlo en esos
minutos, pero nuevamente sufrió otro infarto que puso fin a su vida cuando era
ingresado al Hospital del Norte.
