El Clásico Regio vuelve a animar la Liguilla. Este
miércoles se jugará el partido de ida de la Semifinal del Clausura 2019 en el
Gigante de Acero este miércoles 15 de mayo a las 21:36 horas.
Es la octava vez que Tigres y Rayados se encuentran en
Liguilla. Son 14 partidos de los cuales el club felino ganó 7 por 4 de
Monterrey y 3 empates.
En una de esas Liguillas los enfrentamientos fueron en
fase de grupos. De las seis eliminatorias directas, Rayados avanzó en cuatro,
pero Tigres lo hizo en las dos más recientes:
Semifinal Clausura 2003: Monterrey 5-3 global
Semifinal Apertura 2005: Monterrey 2-2 global y por
posición
Cuartos de Final Clausura 2013: Monterrey 2-1 global
Cuartos de Final Clausura 2016: Monterrey 4-3 global

La del Clausura 2019 será la tercera Semifinal en la que
se encuentren. Las dos anteriores las ganó Rayados, en ambas cerró como local,
ahora la serie se abre en su estadio y el partido definitivo será en el
Universitario.
Tigres ha disputado la fase de Semifinales en 13
ocasiones y solamente lo eliminaron en tres, dos de ellas ante Monterrey y la
otra frente a Santos. Siempre superó las Semifinales en las que cerró de local
(seis de seis).
Monterrey ha disputado 17 veces la Semifinal, avanzó en
10 de ellas, pero quedó fuera en tres de las últimas cuatro en que terminó como
visitante.
Ricardo Ferretti dirigirá en Semifinales por décimo
octava ocasión, es el estratega con más Semifinales ganadas: once, siete de
ellas al frente de Tigres.
Diego Alonso dirigirá su cuarta Semifinal, solamente
superó una. Será su segunda con Rayados, perdió la del torneo anterior ante
Cruz Azul, serie en la que abrió como local.
Durante el torneo regular se enfrentaron en el Gigante de
Acero y empataron 1-1. También se encontraron en la Final de la Liga de
Campeones de Concacaf, Monterrey ganó de visita y se repitió el 1-1 en casa.
Sumando partidos oficiales de Liga y Liguilla se han
efectuado 100 ediciones del Clásico Regio, Tigres tiene ventaja con 35 ganados
a cambio de 34 perdidos. En 50 ocasiones Monterrey fue local, ganó 20 por 16
empates y 14 descalabros, aunque los felinos ganaron tres de los últimos seis.
Nicolás Sánchez, con cinco, es el segundo máximo anotador
de Rayados en Clásico Regio, solo debajo de los 11 de Bahía.
André-Pierre Gignac, con siete, es el segundo máximo
anotador de Tigres en Clásico Regio, solo uno menos que Walter Gaitán.
