Brentford reject Newcastle's 340m bid for Yoane Wissa as the club ask for 360M
Newcastle have made a new 340M transfer bid for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa which has now been rejected.
Earlier this week, Wissa removed all association with Brentford from his Instagram account in a shock move that proves his desire to leave the Bees and join Newcastle who can offer him Champions League football this season, which has always been a dream of his.
The DR Congo international was left out of the squad for Sunday's 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest as Brentford seek a replacement before they let him leave the side. Now, according to Ben Jacobs and Alex Crook, Newcastle submitted a new offer for Wissa which was far below their asking price of 360M.0

The news that the bid had been rejected came from The Athletic's David Ornstein just minutes after, which confirms that Brentford are seeking a higher price, as reports stated over the last few days.

Wissa has scored 49 goals in 149 appearances for the Bees and will likely not feature for the side again as he forces his way out of the club in a similar situation as Newcastle striker Alexander Isak who could potentially secure his move to Liverpool if the deal is confirmed. What is certain is that Newcastle must improve their bid and match Brentford's asking price, otherwise they will be without a world-class striker heading into the new season.
