Bayern Munich have reportedly decided to keep teenage sensation Jonah Kusi-Asare as Harry Kane’s backup for the upcoming season, blocking all loan offers for the 18-year-old. The Swedish striker has impressed during pre-season, scoring against Tottenham and Grasshoppers, prompting Vincent Kompany to fast-track him into the senior squad.

Per Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have informed Kusi-Asare that he will remain with the senior squad this season as Kane’s understudy. The club has rejected all loan approaches from PSV Eindhoven, RSC Anderlecht and Rapid Vienna. The Bavarians are also said to be working on extending the striker’s current contract, which runs until 2026.
