Man Utd snap up Southampton youngster in what is a "dream come true"
Harley Emsden-James has officially joined Manchester United from Southampton this week in a move that he is over the moon about.
The 16 year old centre back joins from Southampton in a 31M deal after making two U18 Premier League appearances last season at the age of 15. Technical Director Jason Wilcox’s links to the Saints were said to be integral in the deal getting over the line in what is another great piece of business from the club who are looking towards the future.0
Emsden-James' move is similar to that of Ayden Heaven’s and Chido Obi’s moves from Arsenal as United snap up talent from other top sides. The defender has travelled to Northern Ireland this week with the Under-16 squad, who are competing for the SuperCupNI, a competition that the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford have all represented United for in the past.0
