The joy of retaining your title is that you're already well-versed in celebrating - and England certainly put their expertise to good use on Sunday night.
After lifting the European Championship trophy once again, the Lionesses celebrated into the early hours in Switzerland. They achieved victory the hard way, enduring 120 gruelling minutes against Spain before Chloe Kelly netted the decisive penalty.
Soon enough, the Lionesses' unofficial anthem, Sweet Caroline, was echoing from the speakers in Basel. Sarina Wiegman's team had exacted revenge on Spain, who had defeated them in the World Cup final two years prior, they were ready to let their hair down.
Upon receiving their winners' medals - and a young player of the tournament award for Michelle Agyemang - the triumphant squad began celebrating with their loved ones.
Leah Williamson rallied the team for a selfie taken in front of their supporters in the stands, followed by a victory lap around St. Jakob-Park.
Lucy Bronze was spotted celebrating with her family, hobbling around to minimise further injury to her leg, which she astonishingly revealed was broken in her post-match interview.
Before long, pizza boxes and beer cans were brought out and, as the fans gradually left the stadium, the next stage of the celebrations could begin.
When questioned about her intentions, Wiegman revealed: "I'll do some more dancing. I'll have a drink but I don't think I'll drink as much as the players will do."
Agyemang, who has transformed from a relative unknown to national icon after netting two vital goals off the bench during the knockout phases, remained tight-lipped when pressed about the evening's festivities. "I can't say too much about that. We're going to have a good time."
Ella Toone proved rather more open about their intentions, stating: "We're going to enjoy the night. I love a party, I'm a Tyldesley girl of course I love a party." The England midfielder certainly lived up to that promise as the evening progressed.
The squad had already started the party early whilst making their way through the media mixed zone clutching tins of lager and pizza boxes.
However, it was upon returning to their accommodation that the real celebrations commenced. Players and coaching staff received a flute of champagne on arrival, whilst hero keeper Hannah Hampton celebrated with lucky mascot Reggie. The cuddly Cavapoo has become the team’s secret weapon at Euro 25 - helping keep the players calm after a series of nerve-shredding matches.
He belongs to the owner of Cheals on Wheels, a mobile barista bar accompanying the Lionesses on their Euro 25 campaign in Switzerland.
Everything had been arranged for their return, with Lionesses decorations adorning the walls and a space filled with their relatives and friends donning England jerseys bearing the names of their beloved players.
The squad wore tops displaying "Champions 2025" across the chest, while Agyemang rocked some tinted glasses.
The DJ kicked off the celebrations by playing Heather Small's 'Proud', sparking the first of many singalongs.
This was quickly followed by Gala's 'Freed from Desire' and a rendition of Status Quo's 'Rockin' All Over the World', with the lyrics cheekily altered to "England won two in a row". After Dr Dre's 'Still D. R. E. ', Williamson and Wiegman, arm in arm, sliced into a three-tiered cake.
The party then turned into a karaoke session, with Toone taking to the mic to belt out Tina Turner's 'River Deep, Mountain High', dedicating it to her ex-team-mate Rachel Daly, who is known for her fondness for the song.
The crowd enjoyed another round of 'Sweet Caroline', followed by David Guetta's 'Titanium' and Natasha Beddingfield's 'Unwritten'.
By this point, it was past 4am in Switzerland, and while the dance floor had started to empty, there were still plenty of Lionesses and Alessia Russo's brother Giorgio Russo, a regular in Switzerland since his return from Love Island, keeping the party alive.
Earlier, Wiegman had found it difficult to express what the victory meant to her and the team. She confessed to BBC Radio 5 Live: "You know what, I don't realise it yet.
"I am still in the stage where it's 'this is unbelievable' 'did this really happen?' So I can't answer this question. Very, very happy but a little strange. Just unbelievable."
The Lionesses will be jetting back to England on Monday, with a visit to No. 10 Downing Street lined up to meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"I don't watch movies back so often but I will probably look and see some things back," Wiegman shared. "The journey has been incredible."
