Two more names on Wrexham's radar as summer spending continues
Wrexham have been linked with two more transfer targets, as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side prepare for life in the Championship.
The Red Dragons have expressed a serious interest in Bolton Wanderers' captain George Thomason. Local outlet The Bolton News reports The Trotters have even accepted a £1.2m bid for the 24-year-old midfielder. Meanwhile, Lewis O'Brien has been a long-time transfer target of Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson, according to The Athletic. The Nottingham Forest midfielder spent the second half of last season in the Championship, making 16 appearances for Swansea on loan.
Why Liverpool have become favourites for Wharton transfer
Adam Wharton has reportedly decided to stay at Crystal Palace for one more season, possibly opening the door for a future move to Liverpool.

Real Madrid ready to terminate contract of €30m flop
Real Madrid are reportedly considering terminating the contract of Reinier Jesus, a €30 million signing from 2020, who has not made a single first-team appearance in five years. With no club currently willing to buy him and no role in the squad, the Brazilian midfielder may be released early to find a new opportunity elsewhere before his deal runs out in 2026.
Reinier joined Real Madrid in January 2020 from Flamengo but has never featured in an official match for the senior team. He has instead gone out on four loan spells - to Borussia Dortmund, Girona, Frosinone and Granada - without making a strong impression. With his contract running until 2026 and no suitors in sight, Madrid are now ready to cut ties altogether, as per Spanish publication AS.
Howe annoyed by Newcastle's transfer business
Speaking to the media, Howe said: "My wish was for us to do our business early, and we certainly tried, but it wasn't to be. We've had a frustrating time in terms of losing targets to other clubs. I'd be very open with that.
"That's happened on several occasions. You just have to accept it. In order for a transfer to really work, in my opinion, the player has to be desperate to come to your club. If we don't get that, the transfer doesn't work.
"We're seeking players that are good enough, that are desperate to come, and that can make the difference, that they're in short supply for us. "We're confident that we can try and get some more players in to strengthen the depth of the squad. We're certainly aware that we need to, and we're trying as hard as we can to do that."
