Dos equipos que no habían logrado la victoria en el Brasileirao se enfrentaron en la tercera jornada del Brasileirao. En un auténtico partido de locos, el equipo de Rio de Janeiro consiguió levantarse de una desventaja de tres goles en el primer tiempo y obtuvo la victoria agónica en el tiempo de compensación 5-4 ante el Gremio, club que está sumido en los últimos lugares de la tabla general.
Los primeros 25 minutos del partido fueron inmejorables para los anfitriones, ya que apenas al minuto seis André Ribeiro ganó la posición a primer poste y metió el disparo para colocar el primero. Cabe señalar que dicha acción fue revisada por el VAR, el cual dio como válida la anotación.
Siete minutos después, Everton Souza apareció a primer poste y giró el cuello para mandar el cabezazo al palo más alejado del guardameta para duplicar la ventaja. Más tarde, una buena jugada colectiva propició que Jean Pyerre ingresara al área para meter el zapatazo al fondo de las redes para el 3-0 que parecía definitivo.
Sobre la recta final al minuto 39, apareció Yony González para marcar el descuento del Fluminense que, dos minutos después en el intento de recorte de Júlio César, Luciano da Rocha le quitó la pelota para marcar un gol más antes del descanso.
En el segundo tiempo, Fluminense acechó en varias ocasiones el área hasta que en una jugada a balón parado, Matheus Ferraz aprovechó el rebote del guardameta para realizar el empate. De hecho al 72’ Pedro por la vía del penal le dio la voltereta al partido.
Gremio se volcó en búsqueda del empate y al minuto 84 encontró la recompensa cuando en jugada en tiro de esquina, el capitán Walter Kannemann remató para el empate de locura, sin embargo, el partido finalizó con broche de oro derivado del golazo dentro del área de Yony González para sentenciar el 5-4 final.
La próxima semana, el Gremio intentará conseguir su primera victoria ante el Corinthians; mientras que Fluminense recibirá en el Maracaná al Botafogo.
