The summer transfer window is already in full flow, with Premier League clubs in a race against the clock to get deals over the line before the window is put on pause for the Club World Cup on June 10. Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all hopeful of bringing in new signings beforehand, with early exits firmly on the cards as well.
Ruben Amorim’s rebuild of United has been kickstarted by the arrival of playmaker Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo could also follow the Brazilian to Old Trafford after snubbing rival interest.
Liverpool are continuing to work on the signing of Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who would link up with ex-teammate Jeremie Frimpong if the Reds can strike a big-money move. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all remain in the market for attacking reinforcements too, with the Blues recently winning the race to land Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.

The Bees are demanding £60million to part ways with the versatile forward, who is demanding a £250,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford.

Chelsea’s move for Mike Maignan has already hit a stumbling block.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there is a significant gulf between how the Blues and AC Milan value the goalkeeper, throwing a potential deal into doubt.
Milan value their Frenchman at £25million, but Chelsea feel that he is only worth £8m now that the shot-stopper has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Serie A side.
The Blues will make a final call on whether to continue pushing for Maignan before Monday.

Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford praised
Former Republic of Ireland defender Richard Dunne has hailed Brentford's capture of Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
He told William Hill: “Caoimhin Kelleher is a great signing for Brentford. I’d actually say they’re upgrading from Mark Flekken to Kelleher. Based on the money I’ve seen reported, it looks like a very good deal.
“Flekken has done well, and he’s the type of goalkeeper who understands what’s needed. Kelleher will have to learn a few new things at a new club, and that may take a little time.
"But in terms of goalkeeping and shot-stopping, this is abig upgrade. Kelleher has proven at Liverpool he’s one of the best around.”

Bruno Fernandes breaks silence
Bruno Fernandes has spoken out after rejecting a big-money offer from Al-Hilal to stay at Manchester United this summer.
The 30-year-old explained his decision during a press conference this evening, ahead of Portugal's clash with Germany.
"There was that possibility. The president of Al-Hilal called me a month ago to ask me about it. There was a waiting period for me to think about the future," Fernandes explained.
"As I have always said, I would be willing to do it if Manchester United thought so. I spoke to coach Ruben Amorim, who, throughout that period, was very annoying to me not to go! The club said they would not be willing to sell me, only if I wanted to leave.
"It was a very ambitious proposal. The president was a fantastic person. We never discussed the amount [initially]. With my agent, of course.
"Then, I spoke to my wife and family, and she asked me what my personal goals were in my career. It was an easy move, even at a family level.
"I had Joao Cancelo there, my children are used to playing with him in the national team... We have a great friendship. But I want to maintain myself at the highest level, playing in the big competitions. and I feel capable of it."

Liverpool have 'surprised' Gary Neville
Gary Neville has praised Liverpool's planned summer transfer business but admits he's "surprised" they're ready to pay such a large fee for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz.
He told the It's Called Soccer podcast: "I think when you're talking about winning the league, what is it that improves you?
"I mean, the only thing that's going to improve you when you win the league is signing world-class players, or players that have got the potential to be world-class players. So signing Wirtz is fantastic.
"Frimpong and then there's talk of [Milos] Kerkez as well, deals with their right and left-back situations. So to get those three done, if they were to get those three done quite quickly would be smart business. But I wouldn't have expected anything else from Liverpool.
"[I'm] maybe slightly surprised that they've gone so heavy on Wirtz in terms of the fee. They don't normally go that big, but Slot deserves it, by the way. He waited 12 months for a player to sign."
DONE DEAL! Caoimhin Kelleher leaves Liverpool
Liverpool have confirmed that goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has completed a move to Brentford.
The 26-year-old replaces Mark Flekken, who has joined Erik ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen.

Armando Broja is keen leave Chelsea on a permanent basis this summer, reports The Sun.
The Albanian has spent time on loan at Everton and Fulham over the past two seasons, but injuries disrupted both of those stints and the forward is now ready for a permanent exit.

Wirtz remains Liverpool’s first-choice midfield signing, with Manchester City now pushing to sign Cherki.
Chelsea plot move for AC Milan star
Chelsea have reportedly approached AC Milan to express an interest in signing Mike Maignan.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the goalkeeper has always been high on the Blues’ transfer shortlist and his decision to not yet pen a new deal with the Italian giants has alerted suitors to his situation.
Chelsea have therefore looked to capitalise on the situation by opening talks with Milan, though it is unclear whether his exit will be green lighted.

Liverpool's Florian Wirtz 'approval'
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have ‘approved’ of the club making a British transfer record-breaking bid for Florian Wirtz, reports TBR Football.
The Reds are willing to table an offer which surpasses £115million – the fee which Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo in 2023.
Bayer Leverkusen are said to be hopeful of striking a deal for the playmaker in the region of £126m. Liverpool will submit their next bid in the coming days.
Chelsea fail to agree terms with Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to return to Manchester United following his loan spell at Chelsea.
According to The Athletic, the winger will return to Old Trafford on June 30 after failing to agree personal terms with the Blues for his loan move to become a permanent switch.
Sancho’s loan to Chelsea included a £25million obligation to buy clause, but an agreement with the player has not been reached and thus the Blues will now pay £5m to United as a result.
Bruno Fernandes makes Al Hilal decision
Bruno Fernandes has reportedly decided to snub interest from Al-Hilal in favour of remaining at Manchester United.
The playmaker was offered a contract by the Saudi side which would have seen his wages tripled, but Fabrizio Romano reports that the Portuguese playmaker has snubbed the approach.

Italian side join race to sign Marcus Rashford

The Sun report that the Manchester United forward, who is also admired by Barcelona, has been shortlisted as a top target at the San Siro and club chiefs feel he could be a ‘key acquisition’.
The Red Devils are hopeful of selling Rashford this summer, but Inter are expected to test their resolve with a long-term loan deal. The Italian giants are also interested in United forward Rasmus Hojlund.
Chelsea looking to offload 14 stars
Chelsea are hoping to kickstart the summer transfer window with a major fire sale.
The Guardian report that the Blues are ready to offload 14 first-team players this window, including Noni Madueke and Joao Felix.
Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku and Axel Disasi are all up for sale too, along with goalkeepers Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic. Chelsea are also said to be willing to entertain offers for Wesley Fofana, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, Renato Veiga and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Trevoh Chalobah was recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace in January, and he could now be sold permanently.
Brentford 'irritated' by Man Utd Bryan Mbeumo saga
Brentford are reportedly ‘irritated’ by reports that Bryan Mbeumo has decided to leave the club and join Manchester United.
It was claimed on Monday that the forward had snubbed interest from the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle in favour of joining the Red Devils, but the Telegraph report that Brentford are yet to be approached for their forward.
As a result, there is a ‘irritation’ from the Bees given how the saga looks set to be played out in public, and they could demand a higher fee for the Cameroon international as a result.
Brentford are reportedly demanding £60million for Mbeumo, and there is not a release clause in his contract with Thomas Frank’s side.
Liverpool's Florian Wirtz delay
Liverpool’s pursuit of Florian Wirtz appears to have been delayed, but through no fault of their own.
The Reds are pushing to strike a big-money deal for the Germany international which could see the British transfer record – Chelsea’s £115million Moises Caicedo deal – broken.
However, the playmaker is currently with his international teammates ahead of the Nations League finals, with Germany set to take on Portugal in the semi-final on Wednesday. They will then play in either the final or the third-place play-off on June 8.
With Wirtz focused on landing the spoils with his country, Liverpool may be forced to wait until the midfielder is available before being able to close the deal.
