Juventus join Arsenal, Chelsea & Man Utd in Victor Osimhen race but Premier League sides have advantage on €75m release clause
{by} Goal.com

Juventus have reportedly joined Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for Victor Osimhen, but the English sides have a massive advantage.

  • Osimhen has a  €75 million (£64m/$85m) release clause
  • However, Serie A sides will not be able to trigger it
  • Premier League outfits get a major boost

WHAT HAPPENED?

Osimhen's future continues to dominate headlines as Juventus became the latest heavyweight to show strong interest in signing the forward. He is being eyed as a prime candidate to replace Dusan Vlahovic, who is on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid, according to Gazzetta.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

However, the path to a deal is far from straightforward for the Bianconeri. Napoli are not keen on strengthening a direct domestic rival and are expected to demand a significantly higher fee from Juventus than from foreign clubs when Osimhen returns from his loan spell at Galatasaray. This is largely due to the structure of Osimhen’s release clause, which stands at €75m (£64m/$85m) but is reportedly only applicable for teams outside Italy. This hands a major boost to the English giants who have a long-standing interest in Osimhen.

DID YOU KNOW?

The forward’s current deal with Napoli is set to expire in the summer of 2026, giving the club a single window to sell at peak value. With interest piling up from across Europe and the striker reportedly eager to test himself in a new environment, Napoli may see the upcoming transfer window as the best opportunity to secure a financially lucrative exit.

WHAT NEXT?

Juventus would also need to present a compelling sporting project to convince Osimhen to remain in Serie A. Even if they manage to do that, they will face an uphill battle outbidding their English rivals, who boast significant financial leverage.
