Wrexham are all set to compete with Birmingham City to sign ex-Man Utd midfielder Robbie Savage's son Charlie from Reading in the summer.
Speaking to EFL Analysis, TBR Football’s chief football correspondent, Graeme Bailey, said: "Savage senior’s former club Birmingham City and Wrexham – his hometown club – are both watching Savage junior and are prepared to move for him this summer. Birmingham know they are playing in the Championship next season and they are ready to compete and push for immediate promotion to the Premier League, which was done recently by Ipswich Town. With that they are putting plans in place and Reading midfielder Savage is a player they like. He has been outstanding for Reading since joining from Manchester United in 2023."
Aston Villa tie young star Bogarde down to new contract
Aston Villa youngster Lamare Bogarde has signed a new long-term contract with the club after impressing Unai Emery behind the scenes.
In a club announcement, Villa said: "Aston Villa is delighted to announce that Lamare Bogarde has signed a new contract with the club. The Dutch Under-21 international has been a regular in matchday squads for Villa this term, making 16 appearances in all competitions, including four in the Champions League. A versatile player, capable of playing in defence and in midfield, Bogarde joined the club in the summer of 2020 from Feyenoord and has previously spent time on loan with Bristol Rovers. Congratulations, Lamare!"
Arrizabalaga drops future hint
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has refused to commit his future to Bournemouth despite impressing on loan with the Cherries.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Spaniard admitted talks about his future are scheduled with Chelsea in the coming weeks. He said: "Obviously what I can say is that I'm really happy and I'm enjoying my playing time here. I think I'm showing that and I'm feeling well on the pitch. It's not the time to think about the future, we're going to take the decision, we're in touch with everybody and now I'm under contract with Chelsea. We have some conversations to have; they will happen in the next few weeks and then we'll decide."
Newcastle show interest in Palace's Eze
According to Sky, Newcastle are planning for life without Sandro Tonali, who is reportedly keen to leave St James' Park this summer. Sporting CP hints Gyokeres is set for blockbuster transfer
Sporting CP manager Rui Borges has hinted that Viktor Gyokeres could leave the club in the future amid interest from English giants.

Real Betis chief reveals Antony transfer plan
Real Betis are open to trying various methods to ensure Antony stays at the Spanish club beyond the end of his loan deal with Manchester United.
Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo told Movistar: "It is a source of satisfaction on a personal level [bringing Antony to Betis], but it is the result of teamwork. Although I am responsible for the sporting management, there are many people involved in this signing. It is still early days, but we will try, in different ways, to do everything to continue enjoying Antony."
