André-Pierre Gignac remeció el mercado de pases mundial al confirmar su llega al Tigres UANL de la Liga MX. Contrariamente a lo que se pensaba, el francés llegó a un nivel altísimo, convirtiéndose en líder de la tabla de goleo y conquistando títulos con el equipo de Nueva León. Sin embargo, una lesión lo ha alejado de las canchas desde el último 3 de marzo.
El delantero francés ha superado una distensión de ligamento en la rodilla derecha, por lo que podría reaparecer este fin de semana contra Monarcas, situación que Lucas Zelarayán, su compañero de equipo considera como positivo debido a lo que aporta el francés en el equipo auriazul.
"Obviamente es un jugador muy importante en el equipo. Está volviendo, se le está viendo cada vez mejor, pero estamos tratando de aprovechar los entrenamientos al cien y cada uno sacar la mejor versión.
"El que esté André nuevamente es una gran noticia para el equipo, para todo lo que representa él y ojalá que se pueda sentir bien, en su nivel y que pueda aportarle lo que siempre le aporta al equipo", indicó el mediocampista argentino en conferencia.

El último partido que disputó André-Pierre Gignac con la escuadra de San Nicolás de los Garza fue el 3 de marzo, cuando los regiomontanos derrotaron con autoridad al Pachuca por marcador de 3-0.
