Grupo H: Colombia vs Japón
Colombia y Japón se enfrentarán en el primer partido del Grupo H este martes 19 de junio. Esta será la segunda presentación de Colombia de manera secesiva en el Mundial. La mayoría de sus jugadores ya habían participado en la última edición de 2014, en la que Colombia llegó hasta los cuartos de final. La actuación de Colombia en los dos amistosos anteriores fue mediocre, recibió 2 empates a cero goles ante Egipto y Australia, sumando su récord invicto a 4 partidos consecutivos, pero se esperaba que Colombia fuera mejor. Por otra parte, antes Japón se enfrentó con rivales mediocres, pero no pudo obtener buenos resultados tampoco. Había sufrido 3 derrotas sucesivas antes de la victoria de su último juego amistoso ante Paraguay. Además, la sustitución del entrenador en abril tiene un gran impacto en este equipo. El ex entrenador Vahid Halilhodžić y el actual Akira Nishino tienen un estilo totalmente diferente, por lo que la selección necesita más tiempo para encontrar el equilibrio. En conclusión, Colombia debería ser apoyado en este partido.
