Boston hold Oldham and pick up a point in their battle to avoid relegation
{by} PA

National League strugglers Boston battled their way to a creditable point against promotion hopefuls Oldham in a 0-0 draw.

The strugglers might even have won the contest but Jai Rowe’s 78th minute header was ruled out for offside.

Prior to that Boston arguably had the better of what chances there were at the Jakemans Community Stadium, with Tom Donaghy saving well from Jimmy Knowles in the first half.

After the break, Donaghy parried a dangerous cross from Jacob Hazel, and when the ball fell to Knowles his shot on the follow-up was blocked by Shaun Hobson.
