Transfer news & rumours LIVE: Man Utd identify Eriksen's replacement
{by} Goal.com

Real Madrid want Van Dijk along with Trent in the summer

Per TBR Football, Real Madrid are plotting an ambitious offer to sign Liverpool defensive stars Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Both Reds stars are in the final months of their contracts and are yet to sign a new deal. While Alexander-Arnold has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu for a long time now, the report adds that the Spanish giants also want the Dutch defender.

Chelsea eyeing move Sevilla's Bade

Premier League giants Chelsea have shown strong interest in signing Sevilla defender Loic Bade in the next summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report adds that the Blues are ready to spend €30 million to secure the signature of the French defender.

Man Utd likely to sell Garnacho in the summer

Alejandro Garnacho was linked with a move away from Old Trafford during the January transfer window amid interest from Napoli but the Argentine winger eventually stayed back. The club, however, will look to cash in on the player in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, journalist Ben Jacobs said: “There’s still a feeling, even though it’d be a reluctant sale, that Alejandro Garnacho is a player that, on the books, could be very valuable, and in the same way that Manchester United would have considered a sale in January, it will be the case again for financial reasons in the summer too."

Man Utd identify Eriksen's replacement

Christian Eriksen is all set to exit Old Trafford at the end of the 2024/25 campaign after his contract expires. Per Fichajes, Manchester United have already identified the Danish midfielder's replacement as they are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.

Man Utd and Chelsea find out Ipswich star's price tag

Ipswich Town star Liam Delap, who has scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season, has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.

According to former scout Mick Brown, Ipswich are likely to demand a fee in the region of £40million. Brown told Football Insider: "It could be difficult for them to hold on to him. For these clubs who are looking to sign a striker, he’s going to be on their list. At the moment he’s a ‘could be’, ‘might be’ sort of player, but clubs are going to keep an eye on him and make a decision at the end of the season. He’s playing every week in the Premier League, but the question will be about whether he’s going to play regularly if he moves away from Ipswich. Is he better than Rasmus Hojlund? If the answer is yes, what price do you pay for Delap? Hojlund cost United around £70million – and to answer my own question, I think Delap is better, so it could end up being a huge fee. The interest in him comes as no surprise, and if Ipswich go down, he’ll be viewed as a sellable asset. I think they’d seriously consider offers of £40million for him, especially if they get relegated. They might decide they can’t afford to turn down offers like that, so the £20million they’d be making on him would go a long way towards strengthening."

Van Dijk gives uncertain update on Liverpool future

Virgil van Dijk, who is in the final months of his existing contract with Liverpool, is yet to agree to sign a new deal and extend his stay at Anfield. Amid rising speculations, the Netherlands star has provided an update on his future.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 33-year-old said: "In the coming months we just have to give it our all. We are still active on three fronts and that is the primary goal I have in mind. I have very, very big plans in that area. Unfortunately, I can't talk about personal conversations I have with the club. We've been talking for a while and the only thing I can say now is that I love this club. I'm very calm about the situation. As long as I'm calm about it, the fans can be too. If there's news, you'll hear about it. For now, I really don't know where I will be playing next season, but again: I am calm about it."

Arsenal told hot-headed ex-Chelsea star would TURN THEM DOWN

Arsenal have been told any move to sign 36-year-old ex-Chelsea forward Diego Costa on a free transfer would be unsuccessful.

Speaking to Slingo, William Gallas said: "Diego Costa is a big character that can be good for your squad when you need the mood to be lifted. However, I could see him clashing with Mikel Arteta. He won’t fit in with the mood at the club and I think it would go the wrong way. Even though they need a striker. Chelsea fans would also be gutted. I think he would turn down the move because of his history there and how the fans would react."

Arsenal and Tottenham set to battle for Corinthians' Breno Bidon

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to compete for the signature of highly-rated Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon in the summer, according to reports from Bola Vip.

An unnamed Premier League side recently tabled a bid of approximately €15 million for Bidon. However, both Arsenal and Tottenham are expected to enter the race with their own offers at the end of the season. The Gunners had previously been linked with him, and their continued interest suggests they view him as a long-term midfield option.

United and Chelsea ready to spend big for Osimhen

Manchester United and Chelsea have emerged as potential destinations for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.

As reported by Napoli Magazine, Osimhen’s contract includes a clause that allows him to leave for a fee of €75 million for foreign shores. Both United and Chelsea are reportedly willing to meet that price as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season. The Nigerian has been in fine form throughout the campaign, recording 20 goals and providing five assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Van Dijk remains tight-lipped on Everton future

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk remains focused on his current role and is not rushing into any decisions regarding his future.

Speaking to Sky Sports, van Dijk provided an update on his situation and said: “It’s all about the next couple of months. I can’t speak about personal conversations that have obviously been going on for a while. I can only say that I am fully committed to the club. I love the fans, I love the club. I’ve had such an amazing time already.

“Let’s see what the future brings. But as long as I’m calm, I think the rest of the world can stay calm as well. When there is a definite answer on my future, it will probably be out. Then everyone can know. I’m quite calm about it."

Chelsea target Atletico Madrid midfielder Barrios for summer transfer

Chelsea are reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield this summer, with Atletico Madrid’s Pablo Barrios emerging as a key target. According to reports from Fichajes, the London club is prepared to invest around €50 million to secure Barrios’ services. Chelsea may face competition in their pursuit of Barrios, as Liverpool have also been linked with the Spanish midfielder.

Antonio back running just three months after devastating car crash

Michail Antonio is back running just three months after a devastating car crash that left the West Ham striker with a broken leg.

West Ham target Lille striker David for summer move

West Ham United are reportedly making a strong push to secure the signing of Lille striker Jonathan David ahead of the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian.

The Canadian international has been in exceptional form this season, contributing to 29 goals across all competitions. David’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation. Manchester United have expressed interest in the prolific forward, while Newcastle United’s recruitment team has also reportedly assessed him as a potential signing.

Man Utd eye stunning €100m summer bid for Barcelona star Araujo

Manchester United are reportedly ready to bid €100m for Barcelona star Ronald Araujo to fix Ruben Amorim's leaky defence.

Barcelona ready to extend Martinez until 2026

Barcelona have successfully reached an agreement with defender Inigo Martinez on a new contract, but financial constraints are preventing the club from making an official announcement, according to The Athletic.

Martinez’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, though an automatic one-year extension would be activated if he features in more than 60% of the team’s matches. Despite this, the club initiated early negotiations after being impressed with his performances under head coach Hansi Flick. Sources within the club confirm that an agreement has been finalized to keep the 33-year-old defender at Camp Nou until 2026. Martinez is expected to maintain his current salary of approximately €4 million per year while awaiting the club’s ability to formally register the contract.

Bournemouth manager Iraola dismisses Real Madrid links

Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has brushed aside speculation linking him with a potential move to Real Madrid. The Spanish manager insisted that he remains committed to his current role despite reports suggesting he could be considered for the Madrid job if Carlo Ancelotti departs this summer.

"For me nothing changes really," Iraola told reporters. "You cannot control things that are spoken outside here (Bournemouth). I definitely don't pay any attention to these things. We focus on the next game and the situation is exactly the same as last week.

"I've been in this business a lot of years as a player and coach and know how these things work, what has importance and what doesn't have importance. The important thing this week is the game we play against Wolves. It's going to be demanding but a good chance for us to keep adding points."
