El
cuadro de Anfield se impone al Oporto 2-0 y deja muy tocada a una escuadra
portuguesa que tendrá que tirar de épica si quiere dar la vuelta a la
eliminatoria.

Subcampeón el pasado curso después de un brillante camino
por la máxima competición continental y toparse con un Real Madrid dominador en
la final, el Liverpool vuelve a irrumpir
en las últimas rondas de Liga de Campeones. Pese a que la escuadra dirigida
por Jürgen Klopp quiere volver a alzarse con una Premier League que se le
resiste desde hace años y quiere volver a levantar, a nadie le amarga un dulce
y seguir avanzando en la competición más importante a nivel de clubes no es
tema baladí.
El
equipo de la ciudad de los Beatles se presentaba hoy como muy favorito en el
Oporto con motivo de esta ida de los cuartos de final. Con un Anfield lleno hasta la bandera, la intención de la escuadra inglesa era
el intentar dejar la eliminatoria muy encarrilada con vistas a evitar cualquier
tipo de sorpresa en la vuelta de O Dragao. Los portugueses, por su parte, se
encomendaban a la experiencia de su portero Iker Casillas, la fortaleza de su
pareja de centrales Militao-Felipe y el acierto de Soares y Marega en punta de
lanza.
El
Liverpool demuestra su superioridad
Apenas
cinco minutos tardaron los locales en poner el marcador a su favor. Todavía no
lo habían merecido y los de Klopp se pusieron por delante. Lo hicieron por medio de un tiro de Keita que tocaba en Óliver Torres
justo lo necesario para desequilibrar a Iker Casillas y colarse en la portería
para situar el 1-0 en el marcador. El Liverpool era netamente superior a un
Oporto que pese a intentarlo era incapaz de frenar las acometidas inglesas y no
acertaban a achicar agua. Mohamed Salah tuvo la oportunidad de hacer el 2-0 en
un mano a mano con Iker Casillas tras un error defensivo de Felipe que le
sirvió en bandeja la asistencia.

Fue
Roberto Firmino el que amplió la ventaja en el minuto 26 y dejaba la
eliminatoria muy a su favor (2-0). Si esto fuera
poco Alisson sacaba una oportunidad de Marega que podría haber dado vida a los
de Sérgio Conceição. Con una sensación de peligro constante cada vez que tenía
el balón en los pies, el Liverpool podría haber ampliado la diferencia antes
del descanso, aunque finalmente fue el 2-0 con el que concluyeron los primeros
cuarenta y cinco minutos.
Pese a que tras la reanudación el Liverpool siguió dominando el partido y eran sus acciones las que
generaban un mayor peligro, el Oporto tiró de casta para intentar dar un
paso al frente e igualar en la medida de lo posible las más que notables
diferencias que hay entre ambas escuadras y hoy han quedado patentes.
Consciente de la importancia de no encajar en casa y el importante margen del
que disponía para afrontar la vuelta en Portugal, los de Anfield se tomaron con mucha calma los últimos minutos de
choque y dejaron muy encarrilada una eliminatoria que salvo milagro tiene claro
color red.
