However, Enciso opted for Premier League relegation strugglers Ipswich.
The same report suggests the Paraguayan snubbed Man Utd's last-ditch bid in favour of playing regularly for Kieran McKenna's side.
Enciso said after joining Ipswich: "I am so happy to be here.
"The conversations with the manager have been good. I am very grateful to him and the club for believing in me.
"I can't wait to get going. I'm a real fighter and I will do my best in every game."
Enciso joined Brighton from Paraguayan outfit Libertad back in 2022.
The versatile forward has since amassed a total of five goals and six assists in 57 appearances.
The attacking midfielder registered one goal and one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
