Arsenal transfer target Benjamin Sesko has already indicated that he is ready to leave RB Leipzig in favour of a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Mirror Football reported last May that the RB Leipzig forward has set his sights on Mikel Arteta's team, edging out interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea, as well as attention from Italian sides.
Despite being on Arsenal's radar last summer, the Slovenian opted for another season at Leipzig, securing a £60m "gentleman's agreement" for a 2025 departure. However, the German outfit may reconsider if faced with an irresistible January offer.
Barcelona's financial restrictions could hinder their pursuit of Sesko too, but Arsenal must act swiftly to avoid increased competition come summer. The North London club are also eyeing a move for Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, although his hefty wage demands of over £300,000-a-week pose a significant challenge.
Arsenal have also reportedly set their sights on Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic and Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres as potential reinforcements to bolster their attacking line-up.
The Gunners are grappling with an injury crisis, with Bukayo Saka out due to a hamstring tear and Gabriel Jesus facing a season-ending knee injury.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal's clash with Aston Villa, Arsenal boss Arteta addressed the need for additional firepower.
"At the moment, we don't have them. We are trying, as I said, actively to find the best possible solution. But we will have to wait and see what we can do," Arteta stated.
He added: "Obviously, it [the profile of player] is not something that I'm going to discuss here. We have lost two massive players for us in the front line and we need some support."
