MARCUS RASHFORD'S agent has flown to Italy to meet the recruitment staff at AC Milan, according to reports.
The 27-year-old winger's brother Dwaine held exploratory talks with AC Milan about loaning the Man Utd wantaway star this January.
Marcus Rashford's agent has flown to hold talks with AC Milan
Discussions remain at a preliminary stage as Milan’s senior executive team were returning from Riyadh, reports The Athletic.
AC Milan fought back from 2-0 down in Saudi Arabia to beat rivals Inter 3-2 in the Italian Super Cup.
Now Milan bosses are deciding whether to make an offer for Rashford.
But it would only be a loan deal and United would have to pay a large chunk of his £350,000-a-week wages.
Juventus have already decided not to make a move for Rashford because of his salary, even though they like the forward.
Milan’s senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a big fan of the England international, as they played together at Old Trafford for two years between 2016-2018.
SunSport also revealed that Rashford could be involved in a stunning swap deal with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
The 26-year-old Nigerian is scoring goals for fun after his unexpected loan move to Galatasaray in the summer.
Osimhen moved to Turkey after failing to seal moves to either Chelsea or the Saudi Pro League on deadline day, having tried to force his way out of Naples.
Rashford has been sidelined by United manager Ruben Amorim and revealed that he was “ready for a new challenge”.
Milan are assessing what opportunities the winter market has to offer.
The Rossoneri fired boss Paulo Fonseca and replacing him with West Ham target Sergio Conceicao between Christmas and the New Year.
Milan are not short of players in Rashford’s preferred position.
Portugal star Rafael Leao operates from the left and turned around the Super Cup final with a devastating second-half cameo after returning from injury.
Tammy Abraham scored the stoppage-time winner from a Leao assist in a much-needed boost to the Englishman’s confidence.
Abraham, who is now largely a back-up striker to fellow former Chelsea star Alvaro Morata, broke down in tears after firing in the winner.
On the right, Christian Pulisic continued his excellent season with goals in both the semi-final and final of the Super Coppa.
It means Rashford would face stiff competition for a starting role.
His salary, worth more than £325,000 a week, would also have to be heavily subsidised for a loan deal to appeal to Milan.
