Spanish reports suggest Los Blancos are growing more and more confident that they can complete a deal for Alexander-Arnold in January. The England international would not move in the winter, but can sign a pre-agreement with the European champions to join at the start of next season as a free agent, when his contract at Liverpool expires.

Alexander-Arnold's loyalty to his boyhood club does not make this an easy deal to do for Real Madrid.
