Man Utd closing in on signing Diego Leon

Per Journalist Ben Jacobs, Premier League giants Manchester United have held positive talks with Paraguayn club Cerro Porteno over the transfer of 17-year-old wing-back Diego Leon. Cerro Porteno are demanding $4m plus add-ons which could increase the value of the deal to $8m. The player remains optimistic that an agreement will be reached soon.

Manchester United do not expect any convincing offers to come in for Rashford in January, the Daily Mail reports, but his sale has become a priority for the club. Tonali's agent rules out Newcastle departure

Newcastle United star Giuseppe Riso has opened up on whether the midfielder plans to return to the Serie A next season. Gomez reveals how close he came to leaving Liverpool

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has admitted he came very close to leaving Anfield in the summer and moving to Newcastle United.

Speaking to reporters, the defender said: "Yeah, [leaving] was definitely for real. But my focus was always on the club. I know how blessed I am to be here. It will be 10 years next summer.
