Trent tipped to stay if Liverpool win Premier League

Liverpool and England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is being tipped to snub Real Madrid and stay at Anfield if Arne Slot's Reds win the Premier League.

Speaking to Betfred, former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson said: "If Liverpool win the Premier League, then I believe he will stay. I don’t think he wants to leave and I don’t think Liverpool want him to leave, but the longer this goes on, then the less likely that he will stay. He’s going to be at Liverpool or Real Madrid next season. I don’t believe he’ll go anywhere else and I don’t believe any other club can compete with them two. If Liverpool win the league, then I think he’ll stay."

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are racing against time to re-register Dani Olmo in January - or else the Spain international could leave the club for free.

After missing out on signing Spain's Euro 2024 hero Nico Williams, Barcelona turned their attention towards compatriot Olmo and finally signed the attacking midfielder for a massive €55m (£46m) upfront and €7m (£5m) in add-ons. It was reported at that time that Olmo had penned a six-year deal which would keep him at the club until 2030.

Addressing the rumours, Arteta told reporters: "No, no sense. Like all strikers, they go on phases and moments and that gap is becoming big. It’s true that obviously a lot of things has happened, injuries, absences of not playing or starting games that much. But his attitude has been really good, it always is, and we’re going to try to help him overcome the situation as soon as possible."

West Ham could extend Michail Antonio's contract

Michail Antonio's current West Ham contract expires at the end of the season but he could be offered an extension by the Premier League club.

Antonio has been hospitalised following a horror car smash that saw the striker subsequently undergo surgery on a broken leg and it is estimated that the forward will be out of the game for at least a year and may even be forced to retire. However, the club are considering offering Antonio a new contract depending on how he recovers from his current injuries, according to The Times.

Guardiola makes HUGE statement about his next job

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has opened up on his future plans and revealed where he may manage after leaving the Cityzens. Guardiola is set to stay at Etihad Stadium until 2027 after signing a new contract with the club in November.

Speaking to Spanish chef Dani Garcia on his Desmontadito YouTube channel, the City boss said: "I'm not gonna manage any other club after City. Man Utd told to sign Liverpool & Newcastle transfer target

Former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has urged the Red Devils to sign England centre-back Marc Guehi, who is also wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Speaking to Boylesports, Silvestre said, "Marc Guehi should definitely be on Manchester United’s list as a long-term option in defence. He almost went to Newcastle and is shining at Crystal Palace after proving himself to be one of the best defenders for one of the best nations in the world with England. What he is doing at Palace is proving he can be tested and perform week in and week out. I have been really impressed with his performances and I think he’d fit in really well with Ruben Amorim’s style of play. He is not shy of playing vertical passes and is always alert, he is strong, wins his duels and is good one on one, he’d fit in well at United."
