Trent tipped to stay if Liverpool win Premier League

Liverpool and England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is being tipped to snub Real Madrid and stay at Anfield if Arne Slot's Reds win the Premier League.

Speaking to Betfred, former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson said: "If Liverpool win the Premier League, then I believe he will stay. I don’t think he wants to leave and I don’t think Liverpool want him to leave, but the longer this goes on, then the less likely that he will stay. He’s going to be at Liverpool or Real Madrid next season. I don’t believe he’ll go anywhere else and I don’t believe any other club can compete with them two. If Liverpool win the league, then I think he’ll stay."

Bayern eyeing move for Brighton goalkeeper Verbruggen

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on signing Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen as they eye him as a potential replacement of Manuel Neuer, according to Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg. Neuer's current deal with the Bavarian club expires at the end of the 2024/25 season and the German club are yet to negotiate a new deal with the veteran custodian.

Musiala's contract extension plans postponed

Per Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have decided to postpone Jamal Musiala's contract extension to the first quarter of 2025 as the club are yet to finalise his new salary structure. The Bavarian club could increase the player's wages upto €25 million per season in the new and improved deal.

Pogba wants Marseille move

Paul Pogba is reportedly keen on a move to Ligue 1 giants Marseille, where he could reunite with former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. According to RMC Sports, the Ligue 1 club are interested in signing the Frenchman as the club owner Frank McCourt has reportedly been a fan of the midfielder since Euro 2016.

Wolves unlikely to part ways with O'Neil

Per journalist Ben Jacobs, Premier League side Wolves have no plans of parting ways with manager Gary O'Neil despite their poor start to the 2024/25 campaign. The club leadership reportedly have decided to back the manager despite their 2-1 defeat to a struggling West Ham in the league on Monday and will provide the manager with the necessary resources to improve the squad.

Olmo could leave Barcelona for Free in January

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are racing against time to re-register Dani Olmo in January - or else the Spain international could leave the club for free.

After missing out on signing Spain's Euro 2024 hero Nico Williams, Barcelona turned their attention towards compatriot Olmo and finally signed the attacking midfielder for a massive €55m (£46m) upfront and €7m (£5m) in add-ons. It was reported at that time that Olmo had penned a six-year deal which would keep him at the club until 2030.

Arteta hits back at reports claiming they will sell Jesus

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hit back at reports the Gunners are planning on selling Gabriel Jesus in the January transfer window.

Addressing the rumours, Arteta told reporters: "No, no sense. Like all strikers, they go on phases and moments and that gap is becoming big. It’s true that obviously a lot of things has happened, injuries, absences of not playing or starting games that much. But his attitude has been really good, it always is, and we’re going to try to help him overcome the situation as soon as possible."

Brighton sign Inter Miami star Gomez

Premier League side Brighton have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez from Inter Miami.

The official statement from the Seagulls read: "We have agreed the signing of Paraguay international Diego Gomez, on undisclosed terms from MLS club Inter Miami. He will join us on 1 January 2025 when the transfer window opens, subject to the usual regulatory processes."

West Ham could extend Michail Antonio's contract

Michail Antonio's current West Ham contract expires at the end of the season but he could be offered an extension by the Premier League club.

Antonio has been hospitalised following a horror car smash that saw the striker subsequently undergo surgery on a broken leg and it is estimated that the forward will be out of the game for at least a year and may even be forced to retire. However, the club are considering offering Antonio a new contract depending on how he recovers from his current injuries, according to The Times.

Guardiola makes HUGE statement about his next job

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has opened up on his future plans and revealed where he may manage after leaving the Cityzens. Guardiola is set to stay at Etihad Stadium until 2027 after signing a new contract with the club in November.

Speaking to Spanish chef Dani Garcia on his Desmontadito YouTube channel, the City boss said: "I'm not gonna manage any other club after City. I'm not talking about the long-term future but what I'm not going to do is leave, go to another country, do the same thing as now. Maybe a national team, but that's different."

Man Utd told to sign Liverpool & Newcastle transfer target

Former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has urged the Red Devils to sign England centre-back Marc Guehi, who is also wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Speaking to Boylesports, Silvestre said, "Marc Guehi should definitely be on Manchester United’s list as a long-term option in defence. He almost went to Newcastle and is shining at Crystal Palace after proving himself to be one of the best defenders for one of the best nations in the world with England. What he is doing at Palace is proving he can be tested and perform week in and week out. I have been really impressed with his performances and I think he’d fit in really well with Ruben Amorim’s style of play. He is not shy of playing vertical passes and is always alert, he is strong, wins his duels and is good one on one, he’d fit in well at United."

Arsenal set sights on Ashworth after his shock Man Utd exit

Arsenal have reportedly set sights on Dan Ashworth as Edu's replacement after his shock early departure from Manchester United.

United considering Atletico's Berta for sporting director Role

Manchester United are reportedly evaluating Atlético Madrid’s Andrea Berta as a potential candidate for their vacant sporting director position, following the departure of Dan Ashworth, according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio.

Known for his success in building competitive squads at Atlético Madrid, Berta’s expertise could provide the strategic direction United need.

Real Madrid eyeing Chelsea star Palmer

Cole Palmer has reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid as a long-term transfer target, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Palmer boasts an impressive record of 36 goals and 21 assists in just 62 appearances for the Blues, demonstrating his exceptional attacking output. But Chelsea have secured Palmer’s future with a long-term contract extension until 2033, making any potential move highly challenging for interested parties.

Gomez travels to England to seal Brighton move

Lionel Messi is reportedly set to lose a key Inter Miami teammate, with Diego Gomez travelling to England to complete a transfer to Brighton.

Man Utd ready to listen to offers for Rashford

Manchester United are reportedly considering the possibility of selling Marcus Rashford, potentially as early as the winter transfer window, with a sale by next summer not ruled out, according to Florian Plettenberg.

A significant factor driving the potential move is Rashford’s substantial salary, which places strain on United's Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance. Offloading the forward could ease these constraints and provide the club with greater flexibility for future transfers.
