Liverpool finally present Salah with contract offer
Per The Athletic, Liverpool have made an opening offer of a new contract to Mohamed Salah as they finally look to tie their Egyptian winger down to a new deal.
Salah has been magnificent for the Reds this season and shook the footballing world when, in late November, he openly criticised the club for their lack of efforts to keep him at the club. However, the Egyptian now looks to have finally got his wish.
Arsenal show interest in Brighton sensation
Per Fichajes, Arsenal are keen on signing in-form Brighton forward Joao Pedro. The Brazilian is currently valued at €50m but it could go up in the next few months if continues to perform consistently for the Seagulls. The Gunners are reportedly willing to offer a fee in the region of €55m to €65m.
Rooney brings in Ferguson's former right-hand man
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has brought in Mike Phelan as his new number two to help Plymouth fight relegation, the club confirmed on Sunday. Phelan spent nine years in two separate spells at Manchester United as Sir Alex Ferguson's number two and worked with the Plymouth Argyle boss when he was a player at Old Trafford. He replaces Pete Shuttleworth who has left for personal reasons.
Wrexham bring in new goalkeeper to ease injury crisis
The Red Dragons have announced the signing of 23-year-old Brad Foster to provide cover on a short-term basis. Wrexham announced they had signed the player, who had been training with the club for weeks, following the injury to Burton that will prevent him from appearing again this season.
The official statement from the club read: "Wrexham AFC can confirm the signing of goalkeeper Brad Foster on a short-term contract. Foster, 23, will provide short-term cover for the goalkeeping department, while Arthur Okonkwo (wrist) and Callum Burton (thigh) recover from their respective injuries, and help to share the training workload. He has been registered to play, and is available for selection if required."
Endrick makes decision on Real Madrid future
Real Madrid's Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has decided he will not go on loan in January and will continue to fight for a starting place. Per the Marca, Endrick wants to prove that he can be of importance to Carlo Ancelotti in the second half of the season and believes he can best prove himself in Madrid, as opposed to at another club.
The youngster is confident he can demonstrate his ability and become a key player for the side this season and believes he has already overcome similar challenges at Palmeiras that will help him again. Endrick is happy to bide his time in Madrid.
Rooney handed crushing transfer blow at Plymouth
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is dealing with a major injury crisis at Plymouth and may have to cope without any reinforcements in January.
Per The Sun, Plymouth are looking to attract new investors in order to inject cash into the team ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, however, any such new deal has to be first approved by the EFL. The situation means Rooney looks to have little chance of being able to bring in reinforcements in January to strengthen the squad.
Eberl rejects Jamal Musiala contract speculation
Bayern Munich director Max Eberl confirmed that Jamal Musiala's contract extension will not be announced in the club's AGM on Sunday. There have been speculations over Musiala's future at Allianz Arena for quite some time with BILD recently reporting that the Bundesliga giants are all set to offer a bumper deal to the German sensation in a bid to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Club director Max Eberl, however, refuted the speculations as he told reporters on Saturday, "It won't happen tomorrow. There will be no 'bomb'."
