Ed Sheeran has apologised for gatecrashing Ruben Amorim's post match interview with Sky Sports.
Following Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, Amorim went to speak to Sky Sports on the pitch at Portman Road, with Kelly Cates, Roy Keane, Izzy Christiansen and Jamie Redknapp waiting to chat to the Portuguese boss. However shortly after he made his way on to the Sky Sports desk, Sheeran appeared.

The 33-year-old became minority shareholder in the club during the summer and was in attendance to watch the team he supports spoil Amorim's first game in charge of Man United. Fans on social media were bemused by Sheeran popping up whilst the cameras were rolling, especially with Sky interviewing Amorim about his first game as United boss.
And now Sheeran has broken his silence about the incident, posting on social media: "Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday, didn't realise he was actually being interview at the time, was popping to say hi and by to Jamie."
He added: "Obz feel a bit of ******* but life goes on. Great game though, congrats to all involved x."

The incident was incredibly awkward given Amorim was mid answer before Sheeran interrupted proceedings. And then bizarrely following Sheeran's interruption, Redknapp then launched into asking the United boss about how little running his team did on the pitch.
"Ruben, I was just going to say, your team today ran 102km, it's the second lowest for your team, for Manchester United," Redknapp said.
And if Amorim has his way, the British press will likely be hearing from him less and less in the coming weeks. During his written press conference after the draw with Ipswich, the newly installed United boss told reporters he had done more media work since joining his new side than he did during his four years as Sporting CP manager. Amorim said: "This week I spoke more to the media than I did in four years at Sporting. I just want to work with my players. Nothing more."
