Rooney won a night out with Sean 'Diddy' Combs back in 2006.
Footage of Wayne Rooney bidding six figures for a night out with Sean 'Diddy' Combs has resurfaced in the wake of fresh allegations against the American rapper and record producer.
Combs is currently awaiting trial in the United States over charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been denied bail, with the hip hop icon facing up to life in prison if convicted.
A number of civil lawsuits have also been filed against the 54-year-old, including seven this week alone in New York.
Four men and three women have accused him of sexually assaulting them at various parties in Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas.
Footage from a football charity auction in 2006 has circulated on social media in recent weeks, and shows Combs offering to take the winning bidder on a night out in New York.
Former Manchester United and England star Rooney puts down a $150,000 (£115,000) bid, which nobody else in the room can match.
Combs then promises to take Rooney out on a "non-stop party with lots of sexy ladies".
Rooney, who was 20 at the time, is filmed laughing alongside former England teammate Ashley Cole, with Combs seen on stage with hosts David Beckham and Graham Norton.
Diddy tells Rooney he will make him a "changed man".
"After he comes to New York, we'll probably be cousins," adds Combs, as reported by The Sun.
"It'll be a non-stop party with lots of sexy ladies."
However, Rooney would never go on the night out with Combs.
Revealing on the Graham Norton Show in 2011, Combs said Rooney and former United teammate Rio Ferdinand – who was also invited on the trip – were banned from attending, with Coleen Rooney allegedly preventing her husband from travelling to New York.
Norton asked: "I always wondered; did they ever go? Did it ever happen?"
To which Diddy responded: "No, their wives wouldn't allow them to come. I'm serious. I don't know why."

Combs has faced almost a year of serious allegations, including rape and sexual assault as well as grooming and domestic violence.
Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee told the BBC earlier this month that more than 100 clients plan to sue the American.
After being denied bail multiple times, Combs remains in jail while he awaits his trial in New York, which is due to take place in May 2025.
