The female referee at the centre of a sex tape scandal has accused a mystery culprit of having "malicious intentions".
Elif Karaarslan, 24, was slapped with a lifetime ban from football after she was accused of romping in a sex tape. Elif allegedly starred in a saucy recording alongside referees' observer Orhan Erdemir, 61.
However, while Erdemir admits it was him in the recording, Karaarslan, who denies any involvement, has now claimed the video was made with AI. The Turkish referee said: "I will have a long road ahead legally, but will overcome in the strongest and most robust way.
"I look forward to your full support and love in this process. Crying, screaming and being sad are not things I would do. That is not me. I will stand by my cause until the end. I am just one of many who are being harmed - I hope I am the last."
Elif's legal team added: "A montaged video was published on social media, created entirely through AI from someone else's social media account.

"Taking into consideration this montage video, created with malicious and deliberate intentions, poses a threat to anyone facing similar accusations in the future."
Erdemir confessed he was in the video and said it was circulated without his permission. He said: "My honour in my family, my social circle and the refereeing community has been blown away.
"In addition to my financial losses, the emotional damage I have suffered is indescribable."

In her youth, Elif had been a promising footballer - and the stunner worked her way up to turnout for Turkish giants Besiktas. Some reports suggest that an ACL injury as a 16-year-old forced her to turn to a career in officiating.
However, other suggest she was inspired by a foreign female official, causing her to swap careers. Either way, Elif has amassed quite the following on social media in recent years.
She is known to share more glamorous photos of her dining out at restaurants, holiday snaps, and photos and videos of her sunbathing and swimming in bikinis - the stunner has over 386,000 followers on Instagram.
