Tuchel in the running for England job

Former Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly in negotiations to become England's next national coach.

The Three Lions currently have Lee Carsley as interim boss but after their 2-1 loss to Greece, he somewhat downplayed his chances of becoming a permanent successor to Gareth Southgate. - who resigned this summer.

Shortly after that Greece loss, ex-Chelsea boss Tuchel has reportedly put his hat in the ring to take up the England role.

Liverpool's hopes of signing Real Madrid ace end

Real Madrid defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has been linked with a move to Liverpool, with the Reds on the lookout for a number six.

However, journalist Matteo Moretto claims the 24-year-old has 'no interest' in a possible move to Anfield.

The France international is reportedly focusing on his Los Blancos future, with his deal running until 2028.

Real Madrid extend prospect's contract

Real Madrid centre-back Joan Martinez has signed a new deal with the club until 2027.

The 17-year-old reportedly has a release clause of £58.6 million ($76.6m) and is one of Los Blancos' highest-rated youngsters.

On the deal, he said: “I’m very happy and excited to renew my contract with this great club, the best in the world. Now, with more desire than ever, I’m ready for everything to come."

Real Madrid eye Bayer Leverkusen star

According to Football Espana, Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah.

The defender is out of contract next summer and Los Blancos are reportedly considering him among their transfer targets.

A move to Bayern Munich for the 28-year-old is said to have fallen through this summer.

Bayern begin contract talks with Neuer

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have started their first round of contract talks with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

The 38-year-old is currently contracted at the Bundesliga side until 2025 but now the German giants want to extend his stay there.

The German international has been with the Bavarians since 2011 and now Bayern want to keep him for a little while longer.

Man Utd try to extend Mainoo's contract

In April, reports suggested Manchester United wanted to extend the midfielder's contract - which runs until 2027.

INEOS were eager to make the England international the face of their new project and now Fabrizio Romano has suggested the 19-year-old is closing on on a new deal after retweeting his old tweet on Friday (October 11).

The Manchester Evening News is also reporting that progress is being made on a contract extension.

Inter Milan star set to sign new deal

Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries, 28, has confirmed he is set to extend his stay with the Nerazzurri.

The Netherlands international, whose contract runs until 2025, has been linked with Manchester United but it seems he will stay put with the Serie A team.

He told Dutch broadcaster NOS: “I haven’t officially signed an extension yet. We still have a few details we have to finish up.

"Negotiations have been going on for a while, because in the past few months there’s been a change in ownership at the club.

“I expect things to work out. I hope to sign as soon as possible so that the matter is done with and then move forward.”

Retirement for ex-Liverpool star?

According to Ruhr Nachrichten S04, via Fabrizio Romano, former Liverpool defender Joel Matip is considering retiring from football.

The 33-year-old left the Reds as a free agent this summer and is yet to find a new club.

He has been linked with Schalke but for now, the Cameroon international is reportedly considering his future.

Christian Eriksen and Man Utd not in talks over extension

The Denmark international was asked by news outlet Ekstra Bladet if he was in talks with the Red Devils over his contract, which expires in 2025.

He said, via Fabrizio Romano: "No, we are not there yet."

Man City find Txiki Begiristain replacement in Hugo Viana

Sporting Lisbon's Hugo Viana is set to replace Txiki Begiristain as director of football at Manchester City at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail were first to report that after a protracted search, City have reached an agreement with Hugo Viana to take over Begiristain's role next summer. In order for Begiristain to teach Viana the ropes over a six-month handover period, City are reportedly hoping for the former midfielder to join early in 2025.
