Alisha Lehmann's salary has been revealed after she complained about the pay gap with her boyfriend Douglas Luiz.
The pair endured a remarkable feat this summer when they completed a 'couples transfer' with both Lehmann and Luiz leaving Aston Villa for a new chapter in Turin with Juventus.
The pair are regularly pictured together on social media, enjoying their new life in Italy. So far, since arriving at the Serie A giants, Luiz has made five appearances and has not exactly set the world alight with a poor return of zero goal contributions.
Lehmann recently expressed her dismay at the disparity in wages between herself and Luiz [via MSN] saying: "It's unfair… "We do the same job, but he earns a hundred thousand times more than me."
According to reports her wages are thought to be around $200,000 (£150,000) per year. A far cry away from the earnings of most professional male's wages.
In contrast, Luiz is reportedly earning an eye-watering amount thought to be around $9.2m per annum according to data by AI Score.
She recently discussed the issue in an interview with Gazzetta, explaining: "It's something that affects me because I'm a woman. Obviously, there's still a long way to go on the path we're on because there may never be equal pay."
Furthermore, Lehmann is advocating for change and holds strong views on this matter despite receiving backlash on social media.
With 17 million followers on Instagram alone, her stardom makes her a prime candidate for sponsorship deals, which will no doubt supplement her earnings from her exploits on the football pitch.
The likes of Prime and EA Sports are among the notable brands associated with the Swiss footballer.
To put her following into some context, this is more than her compatriot and tennis legend Roger Federer, who has 12.7m followers. Despite her obvious appeal and notoriety off the field, she maintained that she lives a normal life, saying: "I live a normal life. I go home, I cook, I do the same things as everyone else."
