Barcelona set to offer new deal to Yamal

Fichajes reports that Barcelona are planning to offer a new long-term deal to their star player Lamine Yamal amid interest from several top clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabian clubs. The new contract will see substantial rise in the player's pay and will also include claused that will the process of signing him by other clubs close to impossible.

Juventus joins race to sign Nico Williams

Per Fichajes, Juventus are all set to compete with Barcelona to secure the signature of Athletic Club and Spain international Nico Williams. Barca were closely linked with the attacker in the last summer transfer window, however, a deal did not materialise which prompted them to buy Dani Olmo.

Now as per the latest reports, the Bianconeri and several other Premier League clubs are also keen on roping in the star attacker.

Bayern show interest in Liverpool's Alisson

Bayern Munich have reportedly shown interest in Brazil and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker as they look to sign a long-term replacement for veteran Manuel Neuer, according to The Sun.

With the Reds signing Giorgi Mamardashvili earlier this summer, they could consider releasing Alisson who has made 269 appearances for the club and has a contract at Anfield until 2027.

Ten Hag shrugs off sack talk despite Spurs loss

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag claimed he is "still on the same page" with INEOS despite a humiliating loss against Tottenham.

Speaking to reporters after the match, the Dutch coach said, "We all made togetherness in this decision to stay together, as an ownership, a leadership group in the summer. Also, we made the decision from a clear review what we have to improve and how we want to construct a squad, but we knew it will take some time. We are all there on the same page, in the same boat - myself, the players, the leadership. We are together."

Real Madrid enter race to sign Branthwaite

Per Planeta Real Madrid, Los Blancos are set to compete with Manchester United to secure the signing of Everton's English defender Jarrad Branthwaite. The report also adds that the Red Devils will go all out for the centre-back as they look to further bolster their backline.

Al-Nassr open contract talks with Ronaldo

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr have already opened renewal talks with Ronaldo in order to avoid losing him as a free agent at the end of the season.

Ronaldo has also made it clear he wants to become the first player to feature at six World Cups when the tournament is staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States in the summer of 2026.

Aston Villa to compete with Arsenal for Thuram

Newcastle remain interested in signing Gomez

Per Football Insider, Newcastle United remain interested in signing out-of-favour Liverpool defender Joe Gomez in January as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his backline in the upcoming transfer window.

The report also adds that while the Magpies are keen on roping in the England international, it is unlikely that the Reds would allow the player to leave in the middle of the season.

Al-Nassr open talks with Ronaldo over contract extension

Al-Nassr have reportedly opened talks to extend Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, which expires in June as per Nicolo Schira. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner would like to play in the World Cup in the United States, and may therefore look to extend with the Saudi Pro League side.

Barcelona given permission to sign Ter Stegen replacement

La Liga has accepted Barcelona's use of Article 77 to sign a replacement goalkeeper in lieu of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is sidelined for the season, according to Mundo Deportivo.

After the German's setback, Barcelona moved quickly to apply for the clause, which states that clubs may recruit a substitute if a player is sidelined for four months or more due to a major injury.

Ten Hag talks about Man Utd's decision to go for young signing

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has explained the faith he has placed in young players this season as he explained United's transfer dealings.

Speaking to the media, Ten Hag said: "Those are the choices we have made in the last two seasons. I understand the impression that many have for Manchester United because the history is so big.

"But those are the choices we have made - and also it has something to do with financials and other restrictions we have to deal with. We made the choice for younger players and you can’t expect them to be at the (top) level.

"We have to improve them and they have to improve themselves and we have to find a team that can be successful on a consistent basis. This team, in the last two years, has shown what they can do with patience. With patience we can win trophies and now we have to get more consistent.

"We are where we are now with this squad. With all the restrictions we had, we have done good work. Now we have to work with the squad and improve. We have a good squad, with young players. We have to improve the team and we have high targets - and we want to achieve those targets for this season and the years beyond."

Premier League clubs approve summer transfer window change for 2025

Premier League clubs have voted in favour of a significant change to the summer transfer window, set to take effect ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to The Sunday Times, all 20 clubs have agreed to a plan that will see the summer transfer window close earlier, on August 15, instead of the usual end-of-August deadline.

With this amendment, they hope other leagues will follow in their footsteps, which will help them avoid situations where they are allowed to sell players to foreign clubs but are unable to make new signings.

Enzo Maresca believes Carney Chukwuemeka should have left for a fresh challenge in the summer as he will struggle for minutes in this Chelsea team.

"I think Carney is a very good player," Maresca said after his side's 4-2 win against Brighton.

"But for the amount of players that we have, we decided at the beginning of the season that for him it was probably better to leave and go somewhere to prove himself playing 30-35 games than to be here and play less games.
