Totti and Blasi divorced in 2022
The ex-wife of Roma legend Francesco Totti claimed the Italian ace was 'jealous of her' after their divorce.
Back in 2001, Totti, who helped Roma to a Serie A title that year which was the only one of his lengthy career, and TV presenter Ilary Blasi began dating, eventually tying the knot in 2005. However, after years of marital bliss, they ended up getting embroiled in a nasty divorce after Totti found out Blasi had been cheating on him.
While Totti, who turned 48 this week, admitted the breakdown of his marriage to Blasi led to him suffering depression, the latter was all too happy to hit back at the ex-Roma legend, claiming he was 'jealous of her'.
During an appearance on the Italian chat show Verissimo in 2023, Blasi said: "I spent a year and a half observing and understanding what had happened. I have read and listened to all the different points of view and opinions. But it was my story and I always put my face in everything I did. So this time it seemed good to me too say it.
She added: "Francesco has always been jealous of me, his jealousy was nothing new."

Previously, Totti claimed the reason he did not want to speak out on the cheating was to protect his and Blasi's three children. Speaking to Corriere della Sera, Totti told the Italian outlet he found out about his wife's cheating after looking on her phone and discovering she had planned to meet someone at a hotel.
Totti, now in a relationship with Noemi Bocchi, said: "I want to make this point clear: I wasn't the first to betray. Then I will go back to being silent. Whatever is said back to me, I will keep quiet. Because my priority is to protect my children."

Ilary Blasi did not hold back
"I had never done it [spy on his wife's phone] in twenty years, nor had she ever done it with me. But when I received warnings from different people, whom I trust, I became suspicious. I looked at her cell phone. And I saw that there was a third person, who acted as an intermediary between Ilary and someone else."
When asked what the messages on Blasi's phone said, Totti replied: "Something like: let's meet in a hotel; no, it's more prudent with me."
While Totti looks to have found love again with new girlfriend Noemi, Blasi is now also in a new relationship with German footballer Bastian Muller.
