Man Utd's new plan to sign PSG's Manuel Ugarte

Manchester United have reportedly come up with a new plan as they bid to land Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.

As per The Guardian, Manchester United believe the price point for Ugarte to be too high and are willing to wait until deadline day to force PSG to reconsider their asking price. The Red Devils believe that Ugarte is no longer in Luis Enrique's plans and as such, they may be forced to sell the Uruguayan at a lower price as the deadline nears.

Connor Gallagher given green light to join Atletico Madrid

Conor Gallagher's transfer saga seems to be drawing to a close as Chelsea have given him the green light to complete the move to Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, however, kept looking for ways to revive the deal and have done so using Joao Felix. The disgruntled Portuguese forward is set to join the Blues from Los Rojiblancos and as such, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Gallagher's deal will also soon be tied up by Diego Simeone's side in the next few days.

Genoa to make new bid for Wolves' Fabio Silva

Wolves are expected to receive a fresh bid from Genoa for striker Fabio Silva, according to Express Sport. The 22-year-old was offered a season-long loan by the Italian team, but Wolves are holding out for a long-term agreement, or at the very least a loan with a buyout option. Silva has a £17 million price tag attached by the West Midlands team, and Real Betis is debating whether to make a move.

Real Sociedad open the door for Arsenal to sign Mikel Merino

Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Mikel Merino, with Real Sociedad confirming they will let him leave for the right price.

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay said, per Fabrizio Romano: "We will talk to Arsenal and defend the interests of Real Sociedad. When we consider that the offer is good, we will say yes.

"We know what Merino's wishes are, so we decided not to call him up [for Real Sociedad's La Liga opener]".

Chelsea set to sign Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix

Chelsea have agreed a deal to re-sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a six-year contract, per a new report.

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico to sign Felix for a second time, per The Athletic, The Portugal international was on loan at the Blues in 2019, playing 20 times and scoring four goals. Now, the Blues have negotiated a permanent deal, with the 24-year-old set to sign a six-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Multiple PL clubs after Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah

Reports state that multiple Premier Leagues teams are still after Arsenal attacker Eddie Nketiah. According to Sky Sports, talks between Arsenal and Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest on the 25-year-old's potential signing are still ongoing.

Last week, Nketiah's trade to Marseille fell through because the French team refused to agree to the parameters set forward by the Gunners. The player, who still has three years left on his current contract in north London, is valued by Arsenal, and no club has yet offered to match that amount.

Thierry Henry leaves France U-21 job

France and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has left his job as the head coach of the U-21 side of the French national team following a heartbreaking loss to Spain in the Paris Olympic Games final.

Speaking on Henry's resignation, FFF president Philippe Diallo said, "We obviously regret this decision because Thierry Henry was able to achieve the objectives that had been set for him by winning a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, 40 years after the Olympic medal in Los Angeles. Having followed him throughout this campaign, I was able to see his great professionalism, rigour and love of the blue jersey. We wish him good luck for the rest of his career."
