Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen on N'Golo Kante as a backup to Conor Gallagher with the France star eager to play Champions League football again.

However, with Omorodion's deal collapsing, Gallagher's future now hangs in the balance. Chelsea have instructed Gallagher to return to London, where he will continue training with the under-21 squad while negotiations continue - with Joao Felix now emerging as a surprise candidate to head to Stamford Bridge.
