JULIAN ALVAREZ'S move to Atletico Madrid is reportedly back ON - after a hitch over his personal terms.

The Manchester City star was expected to complete a move to the LaLiga giants in a transfer worth £81.5million.

Alvarez, 24, has two years left to run on his contract at the Etihad but is keen to gain more playing time.

However, there has been a disagreement between his salary and contract length, as reported by GiveMeSport.

It is claimed that Atletico were working hard to try and resolve the issues.

He was last night thrashing out personal terms with the Spanish club and the sides are reportedly close to agreement

On Tuesday evening, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Alvarez and Gallagher are both heading to Madrid.

And that striker Samu Odorion will be heading to Stamford Bridge too, in an amazing three way transfer triangle.

Romano tweeted: “Last piece of the domino will be Samu Omorodion to Chelsea. Final fee paid by #CFC will be £34.5m.

“Small details of player’s terms negotiated right now but parties sure that will get done. Gallagher to Atléti and Julián Álvarez to Atléti, also already done as revealed.”

He wrote: “Julián Álvarez to Atlético Madrid, here we go! Deal in place for €75m fixed fee plus €20m add-ons.

“Julián has ACCEPTED the proposal for five year deal after talks with agent Hidalgo today.

“Man City signed Julián for £14m and he’s now record sale for €95m package.”

He also confirmed that Gallagher has left Chelsea, writing: ”Conor Gallagher to Atlético Madrid, here we go!

“After late night exclusive news on his green light to Atléti, there’s ok for his move from clubs.

“Five year contract for Gallagher, €42m as fee to Chelsea for the English midfielder. Medical booked WEDNESDAY.”

Alvarez moved to the Etihad for just £14m only two years ago.

He has since helped the club win the Treble in his first season before winning the title again last term.

He made more appearances than any other City player last season but is unhappy at being left out of key games.

Arsenal were said to be monitoring the Argentine following his revelation, but they may be unwilling to match Atletico's bid.
