The California club have made progress in their recent talks with the 33-year-old, according to L'Equipe. Man Utd targeting Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi

Manchester United have been on the hunt for a midfielder and they reportedly have their eyes set on a Euro 2024 winner.

Manchester United, who are looking to sign a defensive midfielder this summer, are keeping tabs on Martin Zubimendi, however, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport that a move this summer could be complicated as Zubimendi is not keen on leaving his boyhood club. Additionally, Real Sociedad are open to selling the 25-year-old only at his release clause of £51 million ($65.6m) which could be difficult for the Red Devils to attain unless they make sales first.

However, he will have to fly to the USA to get the deal over the line, according to Marcos Bonocore, as the Blues are in Atlanta, Georgia to continue their pre-season preparations.

Feyenoord open talks with Brighton for Facundo Buonanotte

According to 1908.nl, Feyenoord and Brighton have begun negotiations for Facundo Buonanotte to join them on loan.

The Dutch team has been in intense talks with the Seagulls over the last several days, and they have now put up a bid to sign him on a loan, albeit they would also like to include a buyout possibility. Having played as a No. 10 and a right winger at the Amex Stadium the previous season, Feyenoord believes Buonanotte is a "concrete" alternative to increase their choices in the final third. The idea of playing Champions League football is supposed to persuade the 19-year-old to sign with the team.
