Kylian Mbappe and Co only won on a shootout - but Melissa triumphed emphatically with her surprise look, according to her social media followers.
The broadcaster posed in a leather-style slit skirt and a top from League of Ireland side Cork City at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg.
Quick responses online included: "Fantastic choice," ..."Class jersey in fairness"... and "Smashing jersey that Cork City one!"
And reaction from wider afield than Ireland was just as glowing.
