Southampton confirmed on Tuesday that manager Russell Martin has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract thereby extending his stay at the club until 2027.
The official club statement read, "Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Russell Martin has signed a new three-year contract as Men’s First Team Manager. The fresh deal, which runs until the summer of 2027, comes after Martin led the side to promotion from the Championship at the first attempt, securing the club’s return to the Premier League on an unforgettable day at Wembley Stadium in May.
