After resigning from Liverpool and taking a sabbatical from football, Jurgen Klopp could be about to swap sports with his Majorcan mansion in the perfect location

Jurgen Klopp could swap football altogether for a new sport close to his heart after resigning as Liverpool manager.
The German took charge of his final Liverpool game on Sunday (May 19) as his Reds side eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wolves, bringing his nine-and-a-half-year tenure at Anfield to a winning end.
Following his farewell party, Klopp begins his sabbatical from football abroad, with it reported by The Sun that the German will head to the sun-kissed Spanish island of Majorca. The 56-year-old bought a villa on the island just east of the Spanish mainland and he hopes to lead a low-key life away from the limelight.
One of the main perks of Klopp’s £3.5million pad is the location which is close to the Mallorca Country Club where the German can play his beloved padel. The racket sport, a hybrid between squash and tennis, has been growing across the UK in recent years and Klopp is beside himself with his new love.
Devised in Mexico in the 1960s, padel is played like tennis but on a court a third of the size and with back walls to bounce the ball off. The ever-increasingly popular sport saw Klopp catch the bug at Liverpool, as courts were installed at the Reds’ Melwood Training Ground where he would play against his coaching staff.

"Padel is, besides football, the best game I've ever played,” Klopp previously said.
“I've only known it in the last five years or so, but since then, I'm really addicted to it. You make big steps in a short period of time. It's really fun to play."
Klopp’s passion has already seen him begin a partnership with Wilson padel to launch a Borussia Dortmund-inspired black and yellow padel racket and a bag. However, the collection doesn’t come cheap, with the racket retailing at 310 euros and the Klopp bag, which can hold up to six rackets, setting you back 120 euros.
